                  Description

The Dominator 3 GTX gloves were developed for around-the-world riding. They're perfectly suited for all weather types you may encounter out on or off-road. That's because of the use of GORE-TEX with Gore grip technology, making sure your hands stay warmer when it's cold and drier when you perspire. The outer shell is made from various leather types, all chosen on the levels of safety and comfort they provide. Beside the TPU hard shell protectors on the thumb, fingers, and palm, these gloves are equipped with dual comp protectors that have been perforated to allow airflow to enter the gloves, keeping your hands cool and comfortable.Whether you're caught in the rain, in the desert heat, or anything in between, the Dominator 3 GTX gloves have your hands covered.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Long Term (2 Seasons) Review SUMMARY The Dominator 3 is a top tier adventure glove for serious ADV riders. You get what you pay for, but the high price point and fit size is a serious detriment. THE GOOD Best in class rain wiper. Excellent impact protection in key hand zones. Goretex keeps out wind, cold and rain. Hurricane Fiona tested. THE BAD Very expensive for a road only glove. The gloves were designed for Elven fingers, Orcs and Dwarves need not apply. FIT Let’s get the worst out of the way. I ride XL on Revit Sand gloves, but for the Dominator I finally settled for 3XL. How come? They’ve made the Dominator 3 snug on the wrist area and crafted long fingers lengths. Snug is a generous word, the legal interpretation is: “extended use may result in blood circulation issues and extreme pain”. If you have a smaller wrist and long fingers, then you’re all set like the Elves. But if you have a wider wrist and short pudgy fingers (Orcs and Dwarves), then you will need to upsize. It becomes a trade off between finding a comfortable wrist size and accepting the extra finger flap length. Don’t let the sizing chart fool you, the Dominator 3 needs to be tried on to find your fit. You are Cinderella. While the first finger claims to have mobile screen touch ability, that becomes ineffective if you use a screen protector. COMFORT Right away the interior of the gloves feels rough, this is not a supple soft leather to make you look stylish. It’s designed so you walk away from a crash with both hands intact. After the glove is broken in, the leather is more malleable or my skin just got used to the roughness. PERFORMANCE Getting the gloves on and securing with the Velcro strap one handed is the easiest I’ve seen yet. The strap secures your wrist to stop air and moisture, ideal if you’re wearing the Dominator over a rain jacket. Hot weather and rain is where the Dominator 3 shines (pun intended). The GoreTex material allows sweat to breathe so your hands don’t feel clammy on hot days. When it’s raining cats, dogs and every 4 legged animal you can think of, the super long visor wipe will clear your view in a single motion, keeping your focus on the road and in control of the bike. You paid top dollar for this. I won’t go into the safety features because plenty of YouTube reviews have already covered it, but I will mention the white color and reflectors make the glove visible in poor visibility. It is confidence inspiring. OFF-ROAD PERFORMANCE Respectable. For light gravel and big bike friendly rides, the Dominator is a no brainer choice. It will keep your hands well ventilated and the safety features around the palm and left finger adds protection. When it gets technical your mileage will vary. The long finger flaps made it difficult to gauge engine revs at slow speeds, if you prefer “feeling the clutch” this becomes a problem. The thick leather also made pulling the clutch all the way in, riding the friction zone and feathering more difficult. The gauntlet style restricted wrist and hand movement when standing up or free motion during changing terrain. In such situations you are better off with a shorter cuff wrist size glove that’s made for off-road riding. FALL PERFORMANCE Let’s be clear, this is not a winter riding glove. Up til 14C you can enjoy the ride without heated grips or a liner. Between 14-10C a liner is recommended. Below 10C I suggest heated grips or hand warmers. In colder weather you will feel chill. It’s because your hands are constantly sweating and that moisture starts cooling rapidly before it can escape. A liner helps mitigate this. THE DOMINATOR 3 IS RIGHT FOR YOU IF… You want a glove with excellent on road protection that controls temperature and moisture in hot weather. You prefer gravel off-road riding with a glove that can feel bulky. You frequently ride in rainy weather. Frequency is the key here, otherwise you are paying a lot for features you will not fully use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Fit Just received a pair as a present. The large size is too tight and I would by a larger size but the fingers are already 1/2 to 3/4 inch too long. I do not have short fingers. Fit like a glove definitely doesn't apply here.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable I've uses these gloves since April. They look amazing and are very comfortable. I have avg/lrg hands and wore a large. They fit perfect, however if you have fat fingers I'd go up a size. The wrist gauntlet is soft and pliable enough to fit under a jacket and even my race suit. I like the velcro strap, however the elastic I'd fraying, not what I'd expect from a glove that cost this much. But nonetheless, it's a great product and I'd buy again.
