                  Description

High-end, all-season, adventure travel jacket with laminated GORE-TEX

No frills, ready for the thrills; the Echelon Gore-Tex is a GORE-TEX laminate-infused adventure travel jacket that does not beat around the bush. Its purposeful attitude comes courtesy of the clean lines and inconspicuous features that grace the premium, all-season, adventure-ready Echelon Gore-Tex.

                  A jacket to count on

Made to be a jacket to count on, the Echelon Gore-Tex' rugged yet humble looks hide the fact it's a very well-equipped jacket. Starting with its laminated GORE-TEX construction, premium, breathable waterproofing is checked off. Followed by CE-level 2 SEEFLEX protection at the elbows and shoulders and SEESOFT back protector that are part of the standard equipment. Topping that off with loads of practical pockets inside and out, on-demand ventilation all throughout the jacket, as well as visibility-improving reflection a plenty, and clever comfort features like the neoprene collar.

                  Cleverly inconspicuous design

Hammering home the cleverly inconspicuous design of the Echelon Gore-Tex jacket, there's adjustability integrated at the cuffs, collar, hem, and lower waist, as well as an Elasticated waist. With the Echelon Gore-Tex jacket, you know you're getting the perfect fit. And all the high-end features you would expect to boot.

                  2L GORE-TEX fabric

This means that the Lining inside is separate and can move freely. The result is improved wearing comfort and versatility and means that the membrane can be used with insulation. Since it is a GORE-TEX product, it is backed by the GUARANTEED TO KEEP YOU DRY™ promise, offering waterproofing and breathability so you can keep riding.

                  SEEFLEX CE-level 2 protection

Certified CE-level 2 according to the norm EN1621-1:2012, the SEEFLEX protector is an innovative creation from the in-house R&D department. The norm also tests the impact levels in various +/- temperature ranges. The SEEFLEX protectors easily surpass the norm without sacrificing wearer comfort. Because of its open-structure composition, they're breathable and allow air to easily pass through; helping to prevent the rider from building up an unnecessary heat.

Prepared for divided SEESOFT CE-level 1 chest protector

An easy upgrade for additional protection. The prepared pockets are tailor-made to house the SEESOFT armor, giving riders that extra peace of mind when on the road. They can be put in or taken out easily and quickly and don't interfere with daily riding activities.

                  Short and long connection zipper

The long connection zipper is designed to create a 360-degree connection between jackets and trouser, while the short connection zipper on the membrane ensures that the membrane stays in place. The inclusion of these zippers are designed to stop the jacket from riding up the rider's back, and/or to prevent the exposure of unnecessary skin; helping to keep you safe on the road in the event of an unfortunate mishap.

                  Ventilation panel behind front zipper

The main center-front zipper can be zipped open to reveal a mesh ventilation panel that directs air to flow toward your body.

SEESOFT AIR CE-level 2 back protector Stratum jacket

The SEESOFT AIR is Rev'it's extra ventilated CE-level 2 back protector insert that is designed to absorb variable impacts without compromising comfort, ventilation, or freedom of movement. The highly impact-resistant blend of Nitrille and Polynorbornene rubber results in a memory foam that is multi-impact rated and CE certified to the highest level (EN 1621-2:2014 - level 2).

                  TIZIP® waterproof front zipper

The TIZIP® waterproof front zipper guarantees exceptional water resistance, shielding the wearer from rain and wet conditions, ensuring a dry and comfortable experience during rides. Its secure sealing mechanism prevents water from seeping through, providing reliable protection against the elements. Moreover, the TIZIP® zipper maintains its smooth functionality even in extreme weather, allowing for effortless opening and closing with gloves on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smoky Mountains Approved - Post 15 Day Tour Review I purchased the Revit Echelon GTX jacket and pants in preparation for a 15-day trip from Toronto down to the Smoky Mountains in NC/TN in May 2024. For background, I had previously toured with the Klim Marrakesh Jacket and Pants, and packed the Scott Ergo Pro DP rain jacket and pants as my waterproof outer layer. While this setup worked for my August 2023, 16-day trip to Cape Breton and back, I wanted to add a laminated GoreTex suit to my gear closet, for what I imagined would be a wetter trip into the Smokies. Before setting out on my trip, I tested the Echelon kit on a frosty April ride up to Collingwood and back, where I encountered everything from snow, sleet and rain to sunny at 14C, and it did a great job, kept me warm and dry in the variable conditions. What attracted me to the Echelon in the first place, was that it was essentially just a shell (with armour and abrasion resistance, of course), and allowed me to layer appropriately for the conditions. Shoutout to the Uniqlo HeatTech base layer I wore as my insulating layer. First test passed with flying colours - so far, so good Now on the Smokies trip, I ran into temperatures approaching 30C. I knew wearing a GoreTex suit in those condition would be less comfortable than my Klim Marrakesh, which flows a massive amount of air. And while at a stand still in some traffic, without shade, in the noon-day sun on a 28C and humid day, I did find the Echelon kit quite warm… the massive vent integrated into the front zipper did a great job of keeping me comfortable when at speed. The thigh and arm vents also flowed a good amount of air to keep me feeling fresh all over. My route often found me at several elevations each day, peaking at 6,000 feet. Simply closing up the vents as I climbed worked great to keep me comfortable as the temp would drop, even with just a merino t-shirt and boxers underneath. I was eventually met with several days of wet riding on my return home, and the Echelon GTX kit delivered as advertised. It kept me bone dry in a light weight package. Overall very impressed with this kit, will make a fantastic 3.5 season touring kit. But for peak summer, July and August riding, I’ll reach for my Klim Marrakesh kit first.
