Description

The Newmont LF motorcycle jeans have been designed in a way most people consider "loose," but in fact, they are so much more. They have a AAA CE certification level and therefore are highly protective; giving you peace of mind while cruising the city streets. The washed fabric will make it look like your everyday jeans that you can wear whenever, wherever. The inside is finished with a light blue fabric to create a high-end denim feeling. It doesn't matter what type of motorcycle you ride, they are designed in a way that takes multiple riding positions into account.

Contrary to popular belief, these jeans feel light and comfortable because of the use of a single-layer denim combined with a new PWR|Shield lining. We understand that not everyone has the same leg length, so the included knee protection pocket is adjustable in two different heights. Get out on the city streets with the Newmont LF (loose fit) motorcycle jeans. Ride protected and look good while doing it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pants, not for people with small legs I just received my second pair of Newmonts. I originally ordered a 32x32, which is what I wear in non-armoured jeans, but they were too small. I opted to get a 36x32 and I wear them with a belt, there’s lots of room to fit in them. I also ordered these alongside the Reed jeans (basically the exact same jeans, just a different fit, and the Reed has the crotch button up instead of a zipper). I ultimately kept the Reed because they fit my legs better. The Newmonts are definitely relaxed fit, but I’ve skipped more leg days than I care to admit, and there was just too much space around thighs, knees, and calves that I thought it might lead to too much movement in a crash. If you’ve got bigger legs and want a relaxed fit, go for the Newmont. If you’ve got small legs or want a slightly tighter fit, and you can handle the button-up crotch, then get the Reeds (I emphasize slightly, the Reeds are by no means tight fitting, I would still describe them as relaxed). Beyond the fit, the craftsmanship is superb, the protective inserts are in the right spot, and they’re comfortable. I could definitely wear them all day long. As for breathability, I just did a ride in 9 degrees Celsius, I’d probably wear long underwear if it got much colder because there is air movement, which bodes well for warmer weather. I won’t know until I can ride again next summer, but based on the air movement, I’d say these jeans will be comfortable till at least the high twenties Celsius, if not beyond. I will still wear them in 35+ degree heat, because I’m a true believer in ATGATT and I believe the airflow will allow for only mild discomfort at those temperatures. Overall, spectacular riding jeans that really inspire confidence in their ability to protect you in a spill, while still looking like a normal jean. I ultimately returned them in favour of the Revit Reed (same specs), but if I start shredding leg day in the future, perhaps these jeans would be more appropriate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid quality I've been wearing these for a couple of months now about twice per week. The jeans are loose fitting, and the armour is comfortable. The build quality is top notch as you'd expect at this price point. Sizing is spot on, I wear 31 in regular jeans and 31 fit perfectly. The jean material is very robust feeling. I haven't tried them in rain to know how well the DWR works.
