                  Description

The Sand 4 H2O are an incredibly versatile pair of riding pants that will enable the most adventurous riders out there to explore the best roads and trails of the world on two wheels, in any environment, in any season. The Sand 4 H2O pants sport the same Swiss Army Knife-like versatility as the jacket when it comes to features. From the outside in, you will find a highly abrasion-resistant but lightweight outer shell equipped with height adjustable SEEFLEX™ CE-level 2 knee and CE-level 1 SEESMART™ hip protectors. Underneath the rugged outer shell, there’s the detachable, breathable waterproof hydratex® liner that will keep you comfortable and dry in wet conditions. To top it all off - and allow you to challenge colder conditions - we also installed a snug removable thermal liner. With both liners removed, you can direct air to your legs by opening the VCS zippers located next to the waterproof stash pockets, which provide plenty of storage space for your essentials. Zippers on the pockets make sure that your possessions stay where they should be. Adjustment straps on hips ensure a perfect fit to your body with or without liners installed. The adjustment straps and tabs on the calves and ankles make sure the fit can be adjusted to use the pants with any type of motorcycle boot. Thanks to the grip panel around back, the Sand 4 H2O pants prevent you from sliding on the seat under acceleration or braking. Laminated reflection on the calves ensures you remain visible in the dark. Go further.

                  • Grip panel at seat

                  • Pockets: slit pocket | waterproof stash pocket

                  Waterproof:

                  • Detachable hydratex®|G-liner: Waterproof hydratex®|G-liner coating is applied to the inside of the garment’s inner lining, and the seams are taped to ensure that the garment is waterproof. The REV’IT! hydratex®|G-liner coating is used in the construction of products that demand a basic level of all-weather protection. For most products, the G-liner can not be removed. But now we made the G-liner detachable, and in some cases we add a mesh lining, to prevent the material from sticking to your skin. This maximizes comfort, while preserving the properties of the G-liner construction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features - careful of fit. I picked a pair of these up today and put about 200kms on them in 20*c. Having tried them in civian clothes the day before, I wanted to see if they'd match up with my other gear and sit well with my boots - affirmative on all counts. Fit - these pants run small. I would typically be in a large, and depending on the length, a Large / Tall. I'm just under 6'3, 220lbs, athletic, and I wear 34/34 in jeans with a true 33" inseam. When I tried these on yesterday thay had all the lining in - it wasn't gonna work with jeans on, and they were XL standard. I didn't remove the lining at the time, but in just gitch, they fit perfectly with the liners in and the waist tightened to the max. Today, before purchasing, I wanted to see how they would sit on my boots in both standing and mounted positions, as well as how they'd work with liners out and pants under. The were perfect standing, and sitting on the bike they rode up to above the ankles - perfect since I don't ever want pant cuffs near my heal if I nee to dab. With the liners out and a pair of thinner summer jeans on, they were great once everything settled...I had to walk around for a few seconds, but then it was fine. Another point on fit - coming off a pair of Sloppy Joes (Joe Rocket) in L/T, these fit like surgical gloves, and the padding is perfectly placed. Quality - I own other Rev'it gear, including the Sand 3 jacket, and I have no reason to doubt the quality level of these pants. They are very rugged and well-sewn together. Features - knee padding is great and adjustable (mine were perfect as they were), hip padding may see an upgrade, lots of pockets that are easy to access and use, even with my Klim Baja gloves on, and the venting is very effective - I foolishly left my rain lining inside my jacket and had to full vent, but the pants, wearing just the shell, were perfect - vented a little at the end of the ride. I will probably pack my outer rain shells for ease of use in a hurry, and the inner for these pants will get used if I know I'm riding in rain or early and late season commutes up the old 327 ;-) HUGE BONUS - among the features are the zips to conntect the pants and jacket, and I'm happy to say that Rev'it saw fit to use the same system as the Send 3 jacket, so win/win - great, new model pants with earlier, better looking jacket! I've very happy with this purchase - the red trim of the 3 pants would have gone great with my kahki jacket, but both will be dirt coloured soon enough, and I got the pants for a great price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These run small I'm normally a size 33-34, with a 32" inseam and I also measured myself (with my girlfriends help) according to the sizing. So I selected Large. The sizing seems to be off. The length is great, but I can't do up the button on the waist, even with it adjusted to the largest possible size. It's possible that I've had one too many donuts over the holidays though so your mileage may vary. I checked out the pants though, and they seem great. Super easy to remove the liners, the waist/and calves are fully adjustable. Lots of ventilation available. The knee pads seem great but the hip padding will leave you wanting a bit more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from T7Rider I live in northern BC and love how versatile these feel! Have yet to get wet in them, even though I live in a rainforest. Really appreciate the big pockets to shove my phone and keys into, and the way they're designed makes it easy to open them up without having stuff fall out. Great all season pants, would take these around the world with me!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pants, snug fit. These pants are excellent. They come with a layer for colder weather that can be removed and a waterproof layer that can also be removed. I've only tested them in light rain and they do keep you dry. My only issues i have with the pants is that they fit slightly small and there is no zipper to zip them up, just an attached flap or something that limits the ability to pull on the pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These pants looked amazing When I received my order the tag stated the size I ordered but unfortunately the tag was attached to a smaller size, a much smaller size. So I returned them and I was able to order a different style that fits. Fortnine was quick to answer my email and after submitting a photo they provided me with a return label quickly. Sad about these pants but very happy with Fortnine service

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pant for Fall and Spring, they will be warm in the summer. Not bad air flow from the upper zipper, adding a lower leg zip would make a huge difference. Armor is well placed and not bothersome when walking. The waist is true to size but the hips are a bit snug. Overall I like these pants. I'm 6' 175lbs with a 34" waist

Rated 4 out of 5 by from still room for improvements Pros: The right side slit pocket is 3" high x 7" wide. The cargo pockets are pretty good, although not perfectly rectangular (but that's unlikely an issue for anyone). The zipper on the cargo pockets is a much better solution than velcro of previous versions. The removeable waterproof membrane is stretchy (although I never use that inside, I use another outside the jacket and it's much better than the old non-stretch ones). Cons: The 1000D is not breathing. I can slowly blow through a Sand1 thigh fabric but not this Sand4. I'm afraid it is PU coated and may be a wet nightmare in summer. I was trying to avoid those undesirable waterproof in the shell insanity pants, but this seems to come close. Mine was a 3XL and the calf is still tight. Definitely NOT for any kind of knee brace. The gusset in front of the zipper is obstructing male biological functions standing up.... There is no slit pocket on the left side. There is no rear reinforcement for biting suspenders and the fabric is likely to tear; the front seems to have a small 0.75 x 1.5 " pad inside near the biting spot, but it's inside so the fabric can still tear (this all is a big deal and MUST be corrected before using biting suspenders).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent overall. With all of the liners in place they fit a bit tight.

                  Questions

Will the zippers match a Revit Offtrack jacket?

                  Asked by: Steve

Are these cut to fit over knee braces like the Klim Dakar pants?

                  Asked by: Training Wheels
As per reviews, to comfortably wear with a knee brace under the Sand H20 pants, you would need to remove the existing knee armor. With the armor removed, you should have plenty of room for the knee brace.

Will the zippers on these pants match with the Sand 3 Jacket zippers?

                  Asked by: jteeuwen
Yes, the pant (Sand 4 ) zipper will attach to the Sand 3 jacket. The Sand 4 pant has two zippers. One short one (approx 8") that works with the Sand 3 jacket. The Sand 4 pants have an additional longer zipper that goes more than halfway around the pant, I assume to work with the Sand 4 jacket. I found the zipping the Sand 3 jacket to the Sand 4 pant easy to do. Used this combo on a recent cross-country trip, worked well.
