Ricks Motorsport Electrics, Inc offers both OEM style and Hot Shot Series aftermarket replacement CDI boxes. The only real way to test your CDI box is to swap it out with another known good unit from the same year/make/model. Because of this, we recommend that you rule everything else out before replacing the CDI box. There are so many factors that can cause a CDI box to go out, which is why it's the only product that we sell without a warranty.
- CDI box enhancements include one or more of the following - multiple spark, increased rpm redline and altered ignition advance curves
- Advance curve allows ATV to rev at higher rpm and quicker rate
- Also may be used to replace defective CDI box on stock machines

I bought an old xr250r and it had very weak spark, with this CDI installed the spark is much better! bike runs great!

Fixed my spark issue.
Was having intermittent spark issues with my 00' 400 ex. Tried a cheaper box and no change. Last ditch effort I tried this and its never run so good.

Prompt delivery
I bought this for my 1985 600 KEL at half the price of OEM parts. Delivery was prompt and the bike started. So far so good.

I first buy a Chinese CDI box on Ebay but my ATV still would not start. After plugging this one, it fire up instantly.

$150 straight in the toilet!
Ordered this a couple months ago in the hopes of resolving a hot-start issue with my klr. Ordering was painless and was delivered before expected. Installed it today and... no spark at all! Not to mention it is larger than the original and was a bit of a pain to install... Put old one back in and got spark. Still have hot-start issue but at least the bike has spark when it's cold. Obviously I won't be returning it due to the "No return" policy for such electronics. Quality control is clearly an issue for this overseas produced item. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone, took a gamble and lost. Will still use fortnine in the future, will avoid ordering anymore electronics though. Not impressed with Rick's motorsport electrics whatsoever!

i bought this for my bike build and this product is absolute garbage, doesn't work at al l give zero power the the spark plug. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AT ALL
