The 551 Gear to Gear Cam was an easy install. The cam performs just as described and has Great power from idle to 4,000 RPM (Bike now redlines at 4,000 RPM). If you take it easy and don't rev the engine over 4,000 RPM this is the cam for you. I installed this into my customers Electraglide that was a 96 CI bored out to a 103 with a Baker DD7 (seven speed) transmission. The customer is extremely happy and wouldn't

Questions
Do i need the standard cam or easy start cam for a stock bike? S&S said "If you have stock compression stick with the standard cam. If you are over 10:1 compression go with the easy start. Yes, purchase the complete kit." but I only see one option at FN
You don't need the easy start cams on stock compression bike. I don't even put them in when I increase the compression to 9.5:1. You can install them if you want to but it is not necessary.
