Easy to install
I removed my Screaming Eagle ventilator high flow air cleaner and bolted on the new S&S kit. I instantly noticed a difference in performance. Pulls harder after 3000 rpm and I now have more leg room on the air filter side. I used my stock air cleaner cover to finish it off.

Needs minor modification for 5 gallon Shovelhead.
This is a guaranteed fit for my stock 1980 FLHS, but the enricher lever doesn't clear the tank. It won't be too hard to bend the lever (or use one from a standard teardrop)... but still... Don't tell me it fits if it doesn't fit.
All the threaded holes had to be chased with a tap to clean out the powder coat. Without doing that, it's easy to cross threads. (10-24 and 1/4-20)
Also: What's with the HUGE screw to hold the cover on? Now I need to carry a 5/16 Allen to take the air filter off. Ridiculous... It's the biggest screw on the bike! I'll be modifying that.

Great product from S&S
Good quality. Well made. much better price then the others. The stinger cone actually makes a difference in smoothing out the air flow. The covers are a bit on the expensive side but if you're going to use the stock Harley cover you can't go wrong. Installation is effortless.

Dont be alarmed that It says on the package the air cleaner is for carb, it does fit, and if you call S&S they will thell you it fits fuel injected for the years listed. Mine works great! Its also a k&n type filter. You need oil on it, they also dont tell you that in the instructions

The manufacturer does not provide information on the dimensions of the cover to fit this intake system. the information they provide is that you must use with stock Twin Cam 88, 96, or 103 football-style air cleaner cover, or can be used with S&S Stealth air cleaner covers
