Excellent Upgrade
I purchased this oil pump along with the S&S forged cam plate as an upgrade for my high mileage bike (136k). This is a quality pump assembly that provides an additional scavenge pump over the OEM design. Included instructions, assembly lube, o'rings and longer bolts are excellent additions. Idle oil pressure is noticeably better when the engine is hot, which is exactly what I was after.

Top of the line stuff
Can’t go wrong with S&S products. I had a previous high flow oil pump/plate that worked flawless as well. 140,000km on the OEM tensioners…still had life in them. Decided to go this time with S&S. My understanding that even at idle there is significant oil pressure compared to stock. S&S tensioner pads are also thicker. All in all, I am pleased with this upgrade and can keep on eye on my tensioners and oil quality. I can say riding in 30C temps, I did not feel unbearable heat coming from the engine, and took plenty of minutes at idle for me to feel the heat on my legs. Well built bullet piece. Installed on 2006 fxdbi with high compression 95” build.
