Saddleman Desperado Review
I recently purchased the Saddleman Desperado Luggage bag for my 2008 Yamaha Roadstar and it is very nice. The studding and color match my Mustang seats perfecly. There is plenty of room for 2 half helmets, and I love the inside pouch and both outside sunglasses cases.I would highly recommend this luggage bag to anyone!

Perfect overnighter
I bought this for my 1 and 2 day roadtrips. It’s bigger than expected but an ideal size for my needs. The studs match my bike which is a bonus. Quality looks great. Love it

Quality here
I bought this bag in the late '90's and she's traveled over 325,000K's. I have had her on two bikes now....my '96 Royal Star and now my Victory. Last winter, I removed the torn 2 straps and replaced with leather I had. I just bought an ' 96 Royal again ( still keeping my Victory) and wanted the same bag.. I was shocked they still make it.. I bought it. All smiles my end folks, you buy this bag, your going to be smiling as well. Get THE Bag.

Not impressed
Not what I expected. Bag does not open properly and bottom is not firm enough. Nice looking bag big enough for what I wanted to put in it

Great trunk bag but...
The bag sits low on my sissy bar below the pad so the velcro strap does not wrap around the pad but falls below it and wraps around the sissy bar. My luggage rack is low I guess and the bag needs to be higher for ease of opening. All of this results in the bag, although secured well, loose. I need to put something (like a wooden block) under the bag so it can sit higher. My bike is a 2016 Heritage Classic.

Love My Bag!
Love this bag. Very sturdy, large storage compartment, and pockets on outside. Lighter than I expected so will be easy to carry when off the bike!

Questions
do you need a sissy bar for this?
Hi Kathy,
You don't necessarily need a sissy bar since it has two adjustable bungee straps; multiple anchor points. It has multiple mounting options as it attaches bag to sissy bar, luggage rack or atop passenger seat.

I'm interested in the Saddlemen Desperado tail bag for my 2004 Intruder. This bag opens towards the passenger back rest which is 12" high. Will it open easily or will I have to remove the bag (that's not an option) every time I want to get into it?
I have mine on a 2008 Vulcan, the bag is flexible enough to access the main compartment to store you helmet and other large items.
