Quality product
Bought this seat as a replacement of my OEM as the OEM didn't have enough support for my passenger. This seat took a couple of weeks to break in as it was very stiff but it's a huge improvement over my original seat. My girlfriend is much more comfortable and now able to sit comfortably for long rides. As for the driver, the step up gives good support for your back and the high quality faux leather keeps you seated in place without slipping out of position. The only downside I can think of is the seat is narrower than the original so sometimes a strain on my inner thighs. I am hoping either I get used to it or it better supports in time.

Huge upgrade over stock seat!
Huge upgrade of the stock seat! The break-in miles are no joke it takes a minute, but the back rest and not having to listen to the wife complain about her seat anymore make it all worthwhile. Had to stretch the seat (rearward and down) a bit to bolt it down the first time but have been told that’s pretty normal, I’ve got almost 1000 miles on it and won’t go back.

My expectations of the explorer seat were well founded. The seat is hard but when you get off the bike but I am not uncomfortable. I expect the seat to be more comfortable as I add more mileage The seat looks great, the stitching is good and it looks really good on the bike.

Great seat however it wouldn't fit my bike.
I spent a lot of time watching videos and reading reviews from other people who have bought this seat. It was a 5 star!! I was so excited to get it. The build quality was second to none. Even available with the driver backrest. Styling was available in 3 different styles. Lots of choice. The gel insert for both driver and passenger was what sold us. Once I received it and pulled it out of the box I could see right away the quality was superior to any OEM seats. I removed the seats from my 2011 HD FLSTN. I went to install saddlemen on my bike and it wouldn't fit. Caution, if you mark the seat you own it, so be very gentle. A small towel was draped over the battery area to protect the seat. After a couple attempts I brought seat into the house and compared with my stock seat. There I noticed one thing was not like the other. I called Saddlemen and explained my dilemma. I sent pictures. They insisted I try harder. I had tried hard previously. Nope not going to happen. Sad to return it.

Decent seat
Seat is decent. Definitely comfortable but It does push you closer to tank. If you're a bit shorter would Definitely recommend. I'm 6'2" and I feel a little cramped with this seat.

Fit and finish is perfect.
Bought for my HD to upgrade passenger accommodation (from a miserable soap bar style pad) to the explorer. Don’t have many K’s on it yet but vast improvement over the OEM saddle. Support for the rider and padding for passenger. Fit and finish is incredible and nice touch with carpet style in pan underside. Fit perfectly
Initially looking at pics online it looks bulbous. In person and installed (instal was a cinch) it fits the bike perfectly. May take away a bit from the bobber Esthetique but function over form for this derrière! Gave 4 stars on comfort as I only have limited saddle time. But from initial impressions- it’ll be stellar
