Numb butt? Never heard of her.
Looks good, fits good, feels good. Put on a quick 300 km yesterday and not once did I think "ugh, my butt is getting sore". Not once! This seat is leagues above the stock seat. Even the quality of the materials blows the stock clean out of the water! My only gripe is that there's no backrest option for my model of bike.

Sleek, narrow, low-profile. Nice craftsmanship
Wanted a lower profile alternative to the stock seat on my bike. I was going for a minimalist look and I found most out there too “bulky”. The Saddlemen fit the bill. Dropped me down about an inch and it’s narrow profile makes for easier maneuverability. The only negative is that it’s hard...really hard. Definitely not a long distance cruiser seat. I’ll probably have to buy something else for the long trips, but in town and short cruising is great. And it’s priced decently too.

Very comfortable, killed the oem one
Put a dozen city rides on it. Put me back a little and made for a better position with my 36" long legs. Couldn't ride for very long on the stock seat, looking forward to a 2 hour highway trip with this one. Had to make a spacer for the rear bracket so that it wouldn't slide back. Fast delivery and the best price!

More back support- very comfortable
I installed this very easily on my 2007 Vulcan a month or so ago, and it was immediately so much more comfortable then the stock seat. It fits well on the bike, it was super easy to put on, and it has a lot more lower back support, which I really need. I can ride longer with this seat than ever before. Yay!

Great seat, very confortable
Great seat, confortable, good looking and everything else you can think of... only thing I would have like to know before buying this was that you NEED the bracket from your stock seat. I mean, it's in the instructions but who reads those BEFORE buying something like this?? The instructions said to unscrew the bracket from the original seat and put it on the Saddlemen seat. Only thing, the screws are inside out on my seat and to get them both out of there, you basically need to destroy it. My plan was to have this seat to switch it when I ride with someone else... and then switch it back to this when riding alone. So anyways, I wish it would have been clearer when I bought it.

Is the default picture with studs and the backrest for the studded option the photo for the option is different and doesn't look like it would fit

Will the stock pillion seat fit with this seat on a 2009 Yamaha vstar 950?
Saddlemen seats are not designed to fit with stock pillion seats they are made to fit with other Saddlemen components. It may or may not fit we cannot guarantee.

The description and some reviews state that this seat "lowers" the riding position. Is there any idea by how much it lowers the posiiton?
It will probably lower you about a,inch or so
