waste of money
low quality threaded studs. Will strip on tightening. Locking mechanisms aren't reliable and good potential that your saddle bags will fall off. Make your own kit with better materials at a fraction of the cost.

Great product
I purchased this quick connect system it looks easy but it wouldn't work with my sissy bar brackets I have. So unfortunately I was Not able to use them.

Needed...
Received the slant-style Saddleman bags for Xmas and was just not happy with how they were expected to stay on with string. Finally spent MORE money on this post system and have to say I feel better about the saddlebags now. Disappointed that more money had to go to something to actually secure the bags, but it is a great addition.

Terrible quality
Bought this for my Saddlemen saddle bags. quality and design are very poor. Not safe for highway. build your own quick disconnect kit using materials from local hardware store.

Are the support brackets neccesary to mount for a Harley with OEM bags?
No, this item can be used to mount OEM H-D and H-D accessory saddlebags (except 1200S bags) without purchase of additional bracket

Will this kit allow to fit 2 accessories at the same time ie a quick release sissy bar AND saddlebags?
Yes it will. Worked great on my 07 sporty.
