Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Normal-Width Tire for Snow and Ice I commute daily in the winter, on an electric bicycle. Studded tires are absolutely a requirement for this, as without them, the bike will give out underneath you when rising over Ice. These tires are well suited to thicker snow and ice, and are the provide the best traction without moving to a fat-bike. The rolling resistance is high, so I would generally only recommend them for an E-Bike. Having electric assistance also helps when powering through thick snow and slush. For a normal bicycle, try looking at Schwalbe's Marathon winter tires, with full studs. I only wish these tires were a bit wider, say 2.3" instead of 1.9". The loss in volume/comfort from my summer tires is noticable, and the extra width would help in the snow.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Studs emtb They do grip, I should have selected 2,8’’ wide instead, very challenging to install on comp 30 rims
