Comfortable helmetThis is my second Scorpion full face helmet. For the first, I read/watch some reviews where they said the Scorpions can be quite snug, then I looked at the suggestion on the Scorpion sizing chart that said to move up a size with full face helmets. My head measures 59.5cms, which is right in the middle of L, but I followed the advise and order the XL At first it was fine. The helmet required some effort to put on, and it seemed quite comfortable. However, after extended use, the helmet would feel a little loose after a longer ride. So I decided to try a L in the T510. It required more effort to put on than the previous helmet, and was very snug, pushing at my cheeks. But it was not uncomfortable, having the kind of snug fit you want in a helmet. I've been wearing it for awhile now, and I love the feel of a helmet that forms to my head, with no hot spots anywhere. A little research on the helmet and Pinlock led me to a pinlock ready shield and Pinlock lens that I was able to purchase through Fortnine (wish it was part of the original helmet purchase like they have in Europe) So now I have a helmet that not only looks great, but fits great, has decent ventilation, Pinlock shield and lens and has a drop down sun visor that is sufficiently dark. It is a little loud, but I wear custom ear plugs, so that's not an issue with me. A person could go crazy reading reviews that can go both ways on a helmet, and it was no different with the T510. Some said it was a great choice and full featured, while others were lukewarm with respect to safety considerations. However, overall it would seem to pass the test. I don't want to see how it performs in a crash, but I think the general view is that it would provide the protection I need.

good looking HelmutUsed the Helmut for the first time today. The air pads work great, the drop down sin visor was good and I was still able to wear my glasses with the drop down visor in place,
fit is average for my head shape, but it does press against my forehead more than I was expecting. I had tried on this Helmut a number of times in a couple stores before ordering from FortNine and it felt really comfortable, but the helmets I tried on were "floor demo" stock and so maybe they were broken in a bit. as such I hope one mine breaks in a bit it will get more comfortable, As such I am "not" really sure if I can give the Helmut a true recommendation just yet. One thing to be aware of is that their supposed eye glass channels SUCK! very very hard to get my Oakley one which actually have very thin small arms. In fact I ended up on wearing my glasses in the end which is not that great as I need glasses for distance vision, but for today it was okay. I might need to try and work on the padding a bit to get my glasses to fit better,

Great All Around ValueI bought the helmet to replace a high end Arai Supercorsa helmet that I was wearing, but was just too small for me. What I got out of the $300 helmet was more than I expected. The sun visor is all I need to block sunlight and the clear visor is perfect for non-sunny days. The fit is very comfortable and the inflatable cheek pads make it an even better fit. Lastly, the helmet looks great, and although I haven't crash tested it, I believe it would hold up very well in protecting my head and my life.

Great helmet for the money.Wanted something that fit properly. Turns out I had been wearing the wrong size for years. I'm a true small. This fit nice and snug out of the box and has the pump up chambers for even better fit. I would say it is quieter than all my other helmets but not completely quiet. Good field of view and like that it has a drop down visor, but the sun visor mechanism isn't very smooth. Needs to be jiggled to drop all the way down.
Next to impossible to pull this helmet on with earbuds in. But if you manage it creates a good seal and blocks out most of the wind noise.
I've never felt to hot in it. Lots of vents.
Overall quite happy. It's my new everyday helmet.
Photo is the helmet covered in bugs from my first long ride in it.

Pretty Happy, but...Been using this helmet all summer; I like a lot of things about it... not too loud on the street, breezy, and all tabs are easy to use. The only downside is that I just cleaned the visor with dish soap and a clean dishcloth... scratched the plastic real bad.
My head is 58.5cm. Does that put me in size medium or large?
I currently wear a size medium Bell helmet.

We would recommend sizing up to the Large in this case.

How does this helmet hold up in the rain? does it leak, drive rain up under etc?
Asked by: Vortex
I have been using this helmet for about 3 yrs now, and have been in pretty heavy rain with it. It does not leak, and with the chin curtain in I have never had rain come in from the bottom. It isn't the quietest but also not the noisiest helmet I own.
