Rated 5 out of 5 by from Protection shouldn't be over-looked! I bought a Scorpion riding jacket but all it had was a foam back pad. This pad is almost exactly the same length and width add that foam pad but thicker. It's a bit of a hassle getting it into the back protector pocket but in no way impossible. This back protector offers excellent back impact protection but not hyper extension protection. This should have been included with the jacket as the shoulder and elbow protectors were. Regardless I would highly recommend this back protector, it is a large piece of that molecular protector stuff and well worth the investment!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feels a lot safer Well we installed this in our Scorpion influx jackets and we both love them feels safe. Of course a little more weight but you get used to that real fast. When you change the foam with this you realize the difference

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good fit installed this protector in a Scorpion jacket (Vortex Air) to replace the foam pad. Unlike others, I had no trouble fitting it into my jacket. All in all, a good buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great armour Bought this to go with my scorpion hoodie, was tight to install but once I got it in it was perfect, it’s thick and hard but moulds to your body nicely and you don’t even realize you have it on.

Doesn't look like this product has CSA certification, so is it just a fancy piece of foam, or does it offer actual protection?

Asked by: Domi
I don’t think it’s a fancy piece of foam. It is stiff, about a half inch thick, plyable  and it takes some force to bend and manipulate it to fit it into the jacket.  You can make an indent with your finger if you push on it with some force but then it returns to its original shape. I don’t even notice it in my jacket.

Is this the model for the scorpion cargo air jacket?

Asked by: Jk123
No it is not specifically designed for that jacket, however the best way to determine if a certain armor will fit, is to measure the armor pocket on your jacket. The dimensions of most of the armor that we sell is listed in the product details section of the item.
