Finally the pants I have been looking for!!
I bought these after I rode a year in the scorpion denim(overall good just not for me). The cut is way better, the scorpions bottomed out on my thighs before the crotch sat where it was supposed to making for a very uncomfortable ride. I'm 5'10" tall, 33" waist, 33" inseam and athletic thighs both genetically and I am a daily gym enthusiast that doesn't skip legs. I purchased the mediums they are labelled 32" on them but fit great on my 33" waist. The crotch comes up to where its supposed to and its not overly tight on the thighs I am very very happy with the fit, I don't even own a pair of jeans that fit this nice. They are about half the width at the ankle than the scorpions which I wanted as those flapped in the wind like a sail. These also have knee pads included which are a bonus for the price!! I read tones of reviews about athletic guys wanting a ok fit as you know if your a bit of a wieght lifter jeans are only ever going to fit "ok". These are the ones for the guys that have a bigger hips/seat than their waist. Its hard to say how they fit in regards to the "true to size" chart because the size chart provided has a huge range of fit but if they labelled them by waist the way they are in real life I would say they fit a bit bigger, like I said they are labelled a 32" and I have never been able to wear a 32" pant but on the site they are like a 35" or something crazy so ill rate them as fit larger but be careful when ordering they don't fit large compared to that chart they fit good.

Wack Sizing
I am sure this product is amazing if it fits. There are two problems:
1) The sizing chart makes no sense
2) The actual pants waist size is ridiculously small regardless of what is printed on the actual pants
I have returned this item 4 times and will not pursue anymore trys.
Despite what the size chart says, here are the actual waist sizes by US.
XXl - 36 (fits like a 32)
XL - 34 (fits like a 30)
L - 32 (fits like a 28 I assume)
M - 30 (fits someone who has not developed into what scientists call "An Adult")
My personal sizing is 34 waist with 32 inseam (US standards). All my other civilian pants fit perfectly at that size.
The inseam is fine, but the waist sizing is way too tight for me even at XXL. Mind you, I can run a 9.5 on the beep test and have recently cycled from from Toronto to Niagara and back. I am not out of shape by any means and my waist truly is 34. Infact my waist is smaller than it has been in months.
Quite disappointing. Rugby, Hockey, Soccer players beware of tight thighs and crotch as well.

Fantastic pants on so many levels!
I bought these knowing that Fort Nine has an excellent return policy...but no return needed. These are so great...the feel of them is softer than any normal pair of jeans I have...the knee armour is solid & very reassuring. As is the Teramid/ Kevlar reinforced hips. I wear them daily, and feel comfortable and safe. Worth every penny.

Flattering
These are stretchy jeans which are perfect for riding in comfort. As far as I can tell, a L fits like a 10, and an XL fits like a 12. I know this as I bought the Large first, and even though I thought they were too small, because they were stretchy, they still looked good. There are detachable loops at the bottom of the jeans that stop them from riding up, but they don't ride up, so I removed them. I added hip protectors, as there are none included, although there are pockets. There are sas-tec knee protectors included, which I quite like, so I purchased similar for the hips. The only thing I wish was different about these jeans is that I wish they were a higher rise. I immediately sewed a zipper onto the back, so that I could zip the jeans to my jacket when riding.

Great motorcycle pants for curvy ladies!
I had a really hard time finding motorcycle pants that fit my body shape and size. I am 5'6" and usually wear a size 14 in pants. However I have large hips and thighs and none of the motorcycle pants I previously tried fit properly. The ones that fit right around the waist were too tight around the hips and thighs such that I couldn't get my leg over the motorcycle; or if the thighs fit then the waist was way too big. I finally tried these pants and they are fantastic! I got the largest size available (46) and although they were a bit snug at first they have broken in nicely and are now very comfortable. The knee armour sits just where it should and they stretch enough to allow for comfortable sitting and mounting/dismounting my bike. I'm very happy with this purchase!

hmmm.
I measured and measured before placing the order, they ended being a much smaller fit. Pretty slim and straight. Seemed a nice quality though. Called for info to see about a larger size and it wasn't possible for the Scott's so I easily returned them and got a recommendation that ended up perfect.

pretty good
great quality jeans. A bit bulky in the crotch area. good length. Knee pucks are quite large so a bit cumbersome.

Solid pants, but very baggy down the leg
These are pretty solid pants- comfortable, good positioning of knee protectors (use the uppermost slot, for sure), but the fit from about the thigh down is VERY baggy. I'm going to take them to a tailor to have them reshaped a bit, because the material is obviously great, but yeah definitely an out-of-style fit.

The womens mentioned in the title refers to this specific model. Some of the questions answers or reviews for both the mens and womens models may be mixed together.

Is the pocket for the knee protectors on the inside or the outside?
The pocket is inside. It’s got a good Velcro securing arrangement that is easy to remove the armour for washing the pants. I love these pants.

Are we using the French sizes to order ?
The size options listed for the Scott Womens Denim Stretch Pants are the French sizes.
Date published: 2020-11-26
The sizes are listed as S,M,L,XL but the size chart doesn't match that, providing numerical European sizing. I want to buy these, but don't know what size to order. I've done some online research, and I think a size 12 is an XL. Is that right?
From a Scott Denim sizing chart available elsewhere on the web, XS is 34 (UK size 6), S is 36 (size 8), M is 38 (size 10), L is 40 (size 12), XL is 42 (size 14), etc.
What I would strongly recommend though is to measure yourself, find your potential size in the chart based on those values, and then order at least one size up from that (maybe even two sizes). These pants fit pretty snug. The first time I'd ordered based on measurements and they were way too small--I went up two sizes on the exchanged pair, and they were a perfect fit.

hi, what size should I order in the mens, waist 28? Thanks
Waist size is true, the same as regular jeans.
I wear size 34 jeans and these were the same fit. I returned mine because I felt the legs were too skinny. But that's a matter of preference.
