The newly redesigned in-helmet speakers with a beveled taper easily fit in the speaker pockets of a helmet, giving the rider a comfortable experience. With a marked increase in volume, bass boost, and clarity, these all-new HD speakers not only meet expectations but shatter them! The LCD screen enables you to quickly verify your connections and settings before you even put your helmet on. And the glove-friendly Jog Dial is perfect for changing volume or answering your phone calls while on the go. You can also take advantage of the Sena Utility app on your smartphone to configure your 5S Bluetooth headset the way you want at the touch of a button. I read all of the reviews of all of the models and they all sounded the same. People had the same complaints about these as they did about the much more expensive models, so I decided to go with these more affordable models. I didn’t need all of the features available on the more expensive models. All I really wanted was to be able to talk to my pilon passenger at highway speeds and these work great. Some of the comments talked about wind noise and interference. I think maybe a lot of that might have to do with your helmet. With a full face helmet, sound is clear, no wind noise. 1 review even suggested using the boom mike option with a full face helmet which is just bananas and not necessary. Instructions for setup are a little unclear, but you’ll figure it out.

Fortnine service awesome. Sena not so much
I bought the dual pack 5s units to replace some aging Cardo Packtalk Bold units. If you just want decent comms then these are okay. If you want them to connect to a 2018 up Goldwing forget it. Maybe 1 out of 10 power cycles unit may connect to bike audio. So right of the bat not up to the task I bought them for, and even though the speakers are HD, they don't sound as good to me as the JBL units that Cardo has. Charging is a bit cumbersome as although the units slip on and off a mounting plate, the harness still has to be unplugged if you want to just charge the unit without it being attached to the helmet. Worst of all is the non existent customer support from Sena. Weeks of emails back and forth- reset this and connect in that order etc.... just scripted responses, and then your assigned rep will be on "rest days"? a few times. I think I was actually talking with an A.I. machine. In the end FORTNINE came through and got an RMA on my behalf from Sena, and honored the return for me, so for that I give Fortnine 5 stars. I think for basic comms unit with so\so battery life, these are okay, but I think they are overpriced. Brace yourself if you need Sena's support.

Very good units for the price, got out to 500 m before static
Recommend these but keep charged up as seems to lose battery power sitting for a few days

Have 2 of these, one serial says 70, one says 110 regarding generation. Whatever they changed wasn't for the better because the 110 burned up while charging. I can smell burnt pcb in the charge port. The older one works great but 50% of them working isn't great.

Very good with one caveat
Bought these to replace our aging Sena SMH10 units. Installation was easy and they are super easy to program using the Sena app.
The only reason I didn’t give a five star rating is because the units do not easily detach for charging. So instead of just taking the units off and plugging them in, I have to put the hole helmet on the charger.

Awesome com unit for the price.
If you're looking for basic com unit, this is great. The HD speakers have a rich sound. And I like that both the boom mic and wired mic are included. I replaced my 12 year old SMH5.
