Description
The all new Impulse is a modular smart helmet featuring Sena's industry leading Mesh Intercom™ and Bluetooth® Intercom technology plus premium speakers and microphone by the audio experts at Harman Kardon. With the help of Harman Kardon, the Impulse's expertly tuned speakers bring a new level of precision and clarity to in-helmet audio, plus an all new microphone for unprecedented outbound audio quality. The helmet boasts an integrated rear facing LED Tail Light for rider visibility and a convenient retractable sun visor. Impulse has an intermediate oval fitment, and features a chin vent, top vent, and two exhaust vents allow airflow while riding. Impulse is Pinlock® ready with a Pinlock® anti-fog lens included in the box. The micro ratchet chin strap keeps the helmet comfortably and securely in place throughout the ride.

My ears are ringing...
The most expensive helmet I have ever purchased. The problem is that there is so much wind noise that the premium sound means nothing. At highway speeds all you hear is a high pitched wind noise, especially on the side of the helmet with the buttons. I contacted the Sena support, thinking I may have a defective unit but no response. I would not recommend.

Amazing Sound
Anyone that claims this helmet doesn’t have enough volume may already have hearing issues. The sound is beautifully shaped and rich. The helmet fits VERY snug for the size and I went a size up, check the sizing chart and make sure you get the right one.
The aerodynamics are about a 3/5, I don’t ride with a windshield so I really feel the wind. Comfort is about a 4/5 using my $1300 Shoei as a 5/5 for reference. Really snug so far but it will break in. The electronics are very refined and I had zero issues updating the firmware.
This helmet basically has almost every feature a helmet could have and does all of them well, but not perfect. Well worth the cost simply for the electronics, but all the other features make it a no-brainer.

Great fit, great sound!
My buddy and I both bought these helmets for out trip across Canada so we could communicate with each other. We’re half way across the country now and these helmets have worked flawlessly!! Great sound, very responsive and so comfortable. The interior visor is perfect for our early morning rides into the sun! We’ll worth the cost!!

Not worth $
Wind gets to leftside ear, firmware update is very complicated, no dark voiser available and not able to connect Mash or Bluetooth with other brands.
Only noise canceling is good.

Sena Impulse Helmet Matte Black L
Excellent. Great fit. (I take a large). While riding I can easily flip up the mandible to see while filling up at a gas station or riding at low speed. While moving at city speed (50km/hr) I can flip up the just the visor and it stays put. No issues at highway speed. The sun shade works well and is not too dark nor too light - just right. Excellent sound in the headset and clear microphone for phone calls and talking to my passenger. Have not used MESH yet. I bought two, one for me and one for my wife (size small) fits well.
