Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dead feel First of all this review has no reflection on FortNine. This is a great place to order stuff and i will keep using this site. But for the Shinko 546 front tire I'm sad to say I was very disapointed with this tire. First I ride a Beta 300 on tight single track. I ride a few tracks and have my own practice track behind my house (7.5 km loop). Ride 3 to 4 times a week. This tire feels heavy and sloppy. Hard to give a real explanation but it felt like I had a forty pound weight tide to my handelbars. No feedback from this tire it had a real dead feel. It almost felt like it rolled on itself in conners and was actually hard to turn. First day I just could'nt get use to it. So the next day I rode solely to see if I could get this tire to work. I spent the day on my track trying different tire pressures every lap. But at the end of the day I had no success. I remouve the tire that night. I wouldn't ride the bike with it on that's how bad I felt about it. (Side note a instaled a Michelin Starcross 5 Medium 90/100 21 and love it) Some people might like this tire but unfortunatly for me this wasn't the case. I got maybe 5 hours on this tire and I can't even give it away to friends. New decoration for garage I guess.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good enduro tire. Only buy the 90/100, the 80/100 is tiny. The review is for the 90/100. This tire is taller than most 80/100's but no wider, this makes it soak up rocks and roots really well, this combined with a good tread pattern that last well make it a great tire for trail riding. I slide the forks up a bit in the clamps to keep the bike the same height as stock and cant find a downside to this tire.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Heavy and dead with flexi sidewall A real disappointment. Heavy and numb, no cornering feel. The 90/2100-21 weighs 5 kgs!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Amazing In a Straight Line Bought this in 90-100-21 size for my YZ250X hoping it would perform on roots, rocks and gnarlier terrain. On the rough stuff, this tire is the best at soaking up garbage and really acts as extra suspension over jarring surfaces...but ONLY when tracking in a straight line. Cornering at any speed is really not where this tire shines. Although I love it for hard enduro type riding, but can't count the many times I had my front end wash out in corners with this Shinko. I love it 90% of the time and then I turn...unfortunatly I can't buy this tire again and I'm going to be switching it out way before it wears due to it's extremely poor cornering ability :( Also, the 'tall height' of this version is good for cushion, but changes the feel of the front end to the point I found it awkward to get used to. It did eventually happen after about 5hrs but I would prefer the 90-90-21 as opposed to the 100 aspect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bang for the buck. Been using this front tire on a 300xcw , i would say its right up there in terms of traction and predictability. I am running it at 10-11 psi with 4mm HD tube in roots and rocks at a fair trail ride speed cant complain it has done just as well as my Michelin S12 on my other bike. On dry rocks it hooks up very well, on wet cold fall days its ok then again in those condition any front wont give you the best feeling. All in all for the price Its a great tire that wears well

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased with the 90/100 I went with the 90/100 because reviews had said the 80 was too small and a little extra tire over rocky terrain seemed like a good idea. I thought the larger tire might impact handling, but I didn't notice any adverse handing effects and I actually think it corners better than my 90/90 Starcross that it replaced. Great sidehill traction. Very good on gravel and I can go faster over rocky terrain. It's almost like getting a little more suspension. I paired with a Shinko 505 Cheater and I like the combo. Only ridden dry terrain so far, so can't comment on wet surfaces.
