Not for mud
These may work OK for dust but not so much mud. I had a leak in one fork and after I sorted it out using a home made "seal mate" I decided to add some protection with Shock Sox. I ride cross county, always some mud along the way, and over the course of the first 150Km ride the Sox on the right fork picked up debris and lightly scratched the inner/lower fork tube. On the right side the fork protector wore through the Sox, which isn't really surprising since the fork protector has to ride over the Sox, but because the Sox instructions say to remove the wear rings on the lower part of the outer fork tube (which I did) once the Sox had worn through the fork protector scuffed up the anodized finish on the fork tube. Live and learn.

Easy On/Off and adds life to your fork seals
I mounted these on my 2022 Suzuki 650 V Strom that has an AdventureTech fork brace, so I had to get a little creative to keep the bottoms anchored. I used 2 small male strips of Velcro on each tube, under the fork brace to do that.
Now my tubes are protected from dirt/bugs/debris that can wreck havoc on your fork seals causing you to replace them far too prematurely.
Great product so far, but seeing as they have only been on for 3,500km, I can't comment about their durability (which is why just 4 stars) but holding up very well so far!

Fits both bikes
I bought a set for a husky 350 and a yz250fx and they fit great. Had to stretch them to Velcro but they are keeping the snow off off the seals while timbersledding. Haven’t tried in the dirt yet.

Did the trick
Bought these to help with my leaky seals on my CRF250L. after i cleaned the seals i used the shock sock and went for a rip, came back, seals were clean, no leaks. just make sure you wash them when you wash the bike. and its true, remove the wear ring as it will tear the sock, it already put a little scrape in mine.
