Poor adhesion
I got this to replace the plastic one i already had on, had the same problems, the 3m tape used does not stick that well at the cormers. The curve is not the same and you have carefully bend the chrome piece which will cause the chrome to crack if not done carefully. Also the tape is not thick enough and allow the edge of the face plate to make contact before the tape. I ended up having to put another layer of 3m tape on top of the original
