Impressed, but for narrow feet only
Looking for an enduro boot, I picked these up alongside some Gaerne Fastbacks to compare against. The Sidi X Powers appear to be overall the better boot, with superior construction, a better inner liner, a more elegant shape, more durable sole material and what appears to be higher quality hardware for the latches, at a moderate price premium.
However, I had to return them because they are designed with an extremely aggressive reinforcement along the inner side of the foot, which attempts to contour the arches of the foot extremely closely. I don't have a particularly wide foot, but this design choice lead to my foot being crushed widthwise, and the absence of leather in the materials choice doesn't leave much hope that the boot will form and fit later down the line. As it was, they became painful after an hour of sitting down at my desk, and I can't imagine wearing them for an hour of riding seated, let alone standing on footpegs.
I can't knock them for quality but the fit won't be very accomodating.
