Well Worth The Price!
I reluctantly ordered this shield for my dualsport bike, concerned about how it would look on my bike, but hoping for some improved comfort when going on long highway rides. I was pleasantly surprised with regards to both aspects.
Fitment: Fitting the shield to the bike was not difficult, but it did take a few tries to find the right mounting hardware orientation. After fiddling with the shield for about 30 minutes in the garage, I had it about right and took it out to the highway for a test. Now I can take it on or off in less than 5 minutes, great for me who only wants it on for hwy rides and not when city commuting. I ordered to fit a 2007 Suzuki C50 Boulevard which ended up fitting the stock Renthal FatBar on my 2007 DR-Z 400 SM perfectly. Be careful not to over tighten the plastic T nuts against the shield, the thumb grips will crack off as seen below (though it still holds the bracket to the shield fine).
Pros: Despite its small size, the shield was effective at blocking wind to my torso and neck, helps keep me warmer on cool days, reduces are fatigue, and helps keep my torso dry during light or short rains. I ordered the black smoked version of the shield, which turned out looking alright, judge for yourself in the pictures below.
Cons: BE CAREFUL ON YOUR FIRST RIDE, when accelerating on the highway the first time having the shield mounted I developed a speed wobble at 120km/h (hot characteristic of my bike). After stopping on the side of the hwy to change my shorts and then adjust the shield, the problem was gone. Take your first ride slow incase this happens to you. If it does happen, try adjusting the shield before scrapping it all together.
Overall I am impressed with the improved comfort provided by this shield, and I think its well worth the low cost even if only using it a couple of weekends per season. Just please take care the first time riding your bike after installing this shield.

Does a decent job.
Worked well after sorting out the height. LOW=wind buffeting on the helmet, mounting higher on the handle bars works out well. So far, constant tightening of the mounting bracket is a pain, tried thread locker, but the brackets still seam to vibrate loose and shift the screen.Still, a decent buy for what you get. Fast delivery was amazing.

Great, small and discrete windshield!
Easy to install, it took about 15 minutes. No vibration. I still get a lot of wind but this windshield is small so it was expected. Perfect size for me, I'm 5'9''. Anyone taller will probably have some wind in the face. I recommend puting some lube on metal parts before installation because I already can see some rust (I installed it 3 weeks ago) on the screws. Overall, I'm satisfied. Great for the price.

Looks good, works good
I was tired of feeling like I was taking a beating highway riding and figured there had to be a better way. Enter the Slipstreamer. Overall, it was fairly simple to install, though a little finicky to get the angle just right. But it sure has made a difference on the highway.

It helps
I bought this for a DR650 after installing one on a DRZ a few years ago. The cross bar on the stock DR handlebar and the handlebar space occupied by the Barkbusters complicated the install. As a result the screen is angled back farther than I would prefer, It is about the same angle as the forks. I look over the top of the screen when seated on the bike. I'm 5'10" tall. It does take the wind blast off my chest and does not cause buffeting of my helmet so 110 KPH+ is now tolerable. Switching to a handlebar without a crossbar or one with more space between the handlebar and cross bar would enable the positioning to be optimized. It removes in seconds by undoing 2 screws while the mounts remain attached to the handlebars. it comes with hardware that will fit both 7/8 and 1 inch bars. The bottom of the screen rests on my headlight cowl so the screen is stable at speed.
Fortnine's website says this will not fit a DR650 so I just chose some mid 90's Suzuki cruiser as the bike to fit in order to add it to my cart as the windshield and hardware is the same.

my bike has 1.25 inch handle bars, how would i order a spitfire shield to fit. I do not see a spot to specify a different mont kit for the larger bars.
The bigger 1.25'' clamps can be found under our part #147114
