The "Viper" uses the same quick release mount system as our popular Spitfire shield, but has a larger glass for added protection. The unique design gives the rider better upper body protection. It is available in clear and smoke tint. Available with 7/8" or 1" hardware. 1 1/4" clamps available.

Not what I expected
I bought this about a month ago because I wanted something with a little more protection than my current sport shield. Unfortunately the surface area of the windshield is too large for the mounting bracket. The reeult was significant flutter at highway speeds. The manufacturer recommends lowering the windscreen until the grommet contacts the headlamp housing. While this did resolve the flutter, it left a large black mark on the headlight housing. I have gone back to my previous windscreen and will not be re-installing this.

Does the job
I bought this a month ago. Simple installation after watching a Youtube video (no good with instructions with just pictures). Used it 3 times so far, fits well but still finding correct tightness & positioning. It definitely makes the highway rides much more comfortable.

Easy install, great look!
Bought the windshield for my 2014 Shadow Phantom and it looks great! Installation took about 15 minutes and was pretty easy and straight forward.

Horrible design and hardware!
Fort nine always has great customer service but this particular item is out of their control. The distributor is sending me a replacement at no cost, but how does that help me?!? It’s the exact same product! I would have much preferred a refund! Anyway, the shield shape has a cool design and the smoke is nice but the hardware is absolutely horrible. It takes a lot of fiddling around with the bars, nuts and clamps, and it’s almost a two-man job because it’s so awkward. And just when you think you’ve hit the correct placement you go for a spin/test ride and the whole shield almost falls off. YIKES. I will be switching this shield out as soon as I can afford a better one!

Works great - just as advertised
Had it on the bike for a month - takes the wind off my chest (still a bit of head wobble but I expected that - it’s a smallish windshield). Would buy again.

Questions
Does this windshield come with the hardware for the 7/8" and 1 " bars? Option drop down for clear or smoke has reference to 1 1/4" bars.
