Description
STI Tire & Wheel has now released a new diamond in the rough: Black Diamond. This super-versatile new ATV/UTV tire is designed to deliver crossover performance-an ideal choice for all terrain types and all seasons-at a value price.
The Black Diamond's innovative "V" tread pattern bridges the gap between soft mud/snow/sand and hardpack surface capabilities. Its unique over-center tread elements provide a smooth, controlled ride on hardpack, while offering excellent traction and clean-out in soft conditions. Utilizes a more agressive 1 1/8-inch lug depth. The Black Diamond's 6-ply radial carcass was developed specifically to provide the stability needed for side-by-side UTV applications, while retaining the plush ride characteristics favored by ATV riders. Good tires, sizing is an issue.
Have had a set on a ranger 700 for about a month. The quality of these tires seems to be top notch, the traction is way better than the stock tires that came off, and there is no bounce at high speeds on hard pack. I have emailed the manufacturer with a couple of questions and they have replied immediately on more than one occasion. My reason for only a 4 star rating is that the tire sizing seems to be way off. I ordered the same size tires that I had, which was 26x11R12 rears and 26x9R12 fronts, when the STI's got here it was evident that they were much smaller than the stockers. If I had ordered 27x12R12 and 27x10R12 they probably would have been bang on with the stockers. Not really a huge deal but not expected either. Also the STI fronts are not wide enough at the bead to cover the lip of the rim which the stockers did, the rears still covered the rim lip. Hopefully no rim damage occurs but time will tell. Having said all that I am happy with them and would recommend, just know the sizing is small.

Unreal traction
I have had these on my Popo 850xp for a year now. Very little wear on rears dispite my aggressive throttle riding. Oem tires were done in 6 months. Fronts still look like new.
No rips tears or chunking. Fast forest road ridden. Highly recommended for this. Does very well in mud. No so much in deep snow as they will dig down fast.
Not much heavier than oem and lighter than most aftermarket.
These are a stiff tire. After one year they haven't softened as much as i hoped but keep them low on air and they do bulge. You can run these completely devoid of air and still make it home. I prefer 5lbs in the front as it seems to add stability. 2 to 3 lbs in the rear.
Look good too.

Aggressive Tread
We purchased this brand of front tires for our side by side last year and just purchsed the matching rear tires last month. They are great tires and get you through rough terrain off road. Very happy with this product.

Questions
Are these truly utv tires? i.e. can they take the weight?
These are stiff tires and would be better for utv than atv. I run them on my Sportsman 850xp.
