Description

Most motorcycle tire manufacturers agree that if you must plug your tubeless tire for continued use, you should use this item call a Patch/Plug. It inserts from the inside/out which of course means dismounting the tire. The sharp metal quill guides the Patch/Plug thru the damaged area. Once rubber cement is applied to the inside patch head, the quill can be pulled off and the remaining air bubbles can be pressed out with your thumbs. This is the only type of tubeless repair plug that is considered permanent.

Features:

  • 6 Patch/Plugs (Patch diameter is 2" (5 cm))
  • Thumb Buffer
  • 0.68 Fl. Oz. (20cc) Tube of Rubber Cement

Rated 5 out of 5 by from should work fine I started mounting my own motorcycle tires about 2 years ago and although I've never patched a motorcycle tire before but have done thousands of car tire repairs with all types of repair systems, with this system it's the best repair possible short of a new tire (think about it a patch and a plug together) Plugs alone can work loose due to tire flex, patches usually stick pretty good but this is one so its just as good + you get a plug too, it does stay on better than a patch alone

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product I previously tried to repare a low mileage rear tire, using a regular patch on the inside with no luck , Using the plug kit, the tire was permanently fixed saving hundreds of dollars for a new one. This systen of tire repair wont be popular with the tire shops who would rather you to purchase a new tire.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too small The diameter of the plug is too small and the patch didn’t seem to seal on any of them. It slowed the leak but didn’t stop it. I found some 1/4 plug patch’s ant they work much better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works as advetised Fast delivery even during this trying time. Patch was easy to apply and so far 1000Km later, still holding strong.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from To the resuce I searched high and low for these with no luck. The online shopping giant that offers next day shipping had them but in quantities that I would never use if I lived three lifetimes. I had purchased a tyre from these guys (Fort nine) late last year. Well early this spring I noticed the tyre was going down. Sure enough a screw had punctured the tyre. Because the tyre was purchased online I had no warranty from a shop on essentially a new tyre. So I purchased these as this is the only repair that is considered a permanent repair. Those bacon strips that you put in on the outside with a T handle are only a temporary patch at best. Fort Nine have most things that I could ask for. Now if they can only get the neck roll for my helmet I would be set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I understand a dealer has a liability issue I was under the impression you can't safely plug a motorcycle tire because a dealer won't repair it. These ate the only plugs are OK , by what I have read. So I bought a couple of tire wrenches , and took my tire off myself and plugged it. Easy , with the help of u tube. I save a $260 tire from going in the trash.
