These are the second worse scratchers i have ever had, total waste of money! They came with A-arm mounts to be mounted up front as an option but were way to small and did not go around the A-arm, and will not fit any late model sleds. So i used the rear mounts. First off the cables are too long and flimsy, They bounced around and chipped my skid badly. The paint is all gone and the aluminum looks like it had a grinder taken to it. Then both tips broke off on the same first ride. I should have know having replaceable tips would mean they would be cheap and made to break. I would never use this product again.

Great purchase-no more overheating
I bought the scratcher kit in the advice of my Polaris dealer as well as an independent mechanic.
The 2-stroke Polaris 800’s have a tendency to overheat in icy or low snow conditions,because the radiator is more upfront and the snow needs to get in from the front of the machine.
These scratchers did the trick-instead of running in the high 70’s %C,or even overheating,it’s running at 51%C most of the time,never over 60%C.
Just make sure you install them inside enough to get the snow spray in the middle,and use the provided adhesive for your tips,I lost one even though Ihad tightened it well-you need that adhesive to ensure it stays in place!
