Description
These specially designed guards fit seamlessly into the design of the BMW and protect the boxer cover against damage from rocks and falls. With just three screws per side, the protector is easily mounted onto existing attachment points. The cylinder guard consists of a laser-cut aluminum mounting bracket and a CNC-milled aluminum slider pad. It also has a rubber shock-absorber on the inside.

Do they protect?
Purchased a set to keep from rocks taking out the cylinder heads on my 2015 GSA. Bit of a tight fit when it came to installation between factory bars and cover. One of the back screws is in contact with the crash bar.
Had an incident where I went down with the bike low speed on the asphalt and the cover protected the head but bent one of the cylinder head studs and it was leaking oil. Couple hundred bucks later and a visit to dealer to fix. I have since removed the back strap and bolt cap that bent the cylinder head stud.
One last thought... dealer referred to guards as “I’m going to remove that garbage and fix the leak...”

Great quality great fit
Bought these for my 2015gs last year and i love them. The fit and finish is spot on and install was easy.
I’ve dropped my bike on trails and they have definitely done their job. I look forward to buying the uppers when fortnine gets them back in stock.
