Awesome BUT hard to install
This is awesome, sturdy but very hard to install. Pretty much every screw needs to be forced to align to the holes.I took it off and tried again with the same result. I won't go on a rant because SW Motech are looking into the issue BUT..probably a friday afternoon production... It is worth every dollar but installation is painful. Once they fix these little issue, it will be one of the nicest skid plate out there!!

Installation easier if you can support the bike vertically (not on kick stand).

Well engineered.
Like all the SW-Motech stuff I have purchased, it is well made and fits perfect. It comes with all the hardware including the vibration dampening mounts but I left the stock mounts on the bike but added a spacer to each of the bolts. I looks cool and is heavy duty.

Fortnine states this fits the CB500X up to 2017, mine is a 2018 and it fit perfectly nothing has changed on this model from 2017 to 2018

Skid plate
Somewhat easy to install. Trickier at the back section. Didn't realize I have to remove the plate every oil change.

Good product
Seems like a good product, although I haven't taken it off road yet. The aluminum is sturdy and I think it should be strong. I didn't know the brand of my crash bars (they came with the bike) but they must be Givi, so I had to use 1" U-bolts to attach it to the bars in the front. I think it will work. At least it should protect the oil filter and exhaust pipe.

It says it's not compatible with original center stand from Suzuki. Why is that? I bought the bike used so I'm not sure what center stand it has. Thanks.
This fitment information comes directly from the manufacturer. The original center stand from Suzuki must interfere with the installation of this part.

Is it compatible for a BMW 850 GS adv 2022?
Can this actually take a hit from a log as you hop the bike over it or is it more for stone chips and looks?
It is very strong and would protect the engine when you bounce a log. The mounting on my KLR was not simple, and requires some modification to the mounting holes. That may have been fixed by now. Once mounted you will feel confident that the engine is safe.
