SW-Motech ION Footrest Kit Item # 273216

Description
The ION footrest kits allow the footrest to be mounted at its original height or lowered by 15 mm. Extremely durable and built to last, these stainless-steel footrests provide plenty of extra grip and are recommended for adventure, offroad and urban motorcycles. Hinges made from high-strength aluminum alloy ensure that the footrest can fold out of the way if the bike tips over. The removable rubber top surface reduces vibration, and the profile gives you a firm grip during offroad riding. To mount the bike-specific hinge adapter to the footrest sockets, the original attachments (springs, bolts, etc.) are used.
Features:
- Easy mounting on original footrest mount
- Adjusted individually: original height or lowering footrest by 15 mm
- Greater comfort while riding thanks to large-sized foot area
- Profiled, anti-slip surface texture
- High-quality, corrosion resistant cast stainless steel with removable rubber top surface
- Mounting material included in delivery
- Large contact surface (approx. 8 x 5 cm) for more comfort and grip
Included:
- 2 x ION Footrests
- 2 x bike-specific joint adapters
- Mounting instructions
- Mounting material

Simple et efficace
Je les ai installés sur un Suzuki VStrom DL1000A 2014. Un peu cher mais très facile à installer.
Je les utilise sans les coussinets de caoutchouc. Ils sont solides et la "grip" est excellente.

Welcome difference
This footrest is much better than stock. Other reviewers said that this is the first change that they would make to their stock bike, and I would have to agree. The platform is bigger, and the lower position makes for easier shifting.

Excellent footpads
I purchased these pegs about a month ago and installed them on my R1200GS after removing the stock pegs. The SW Motech pegs were easy to install and provided me an additional adjustment above the stock pegs. With the wider base it also was easier on the bottom of the foot. I found the stock pegs made my feet tired after a time of standing on them, the wider bases on these pegs give your feet just a bit more area to balance on and just that much more stability. The rubber inserts are easy to install or remove and help to isolate and vibrations or impact shocks. Great pegs!

Installed in no time at all and much better than the factory foot pegs. Twice the width and the removable rubber top will be good for trail rides. Didn't know when I bought but they also angle slightly forward matching normal foot position.

Solid, well made
Footpegs seem to be very well made. Fit to my bike was very precise. Very solid feeling compared to the stock footpegs, will make standing up off-road much more comfortable and stable. I like the forward angle - feels very comfortable.
My only small complaint are that the peg feelers off the original pegs do not fit the SW Motech (that is very minor though, I can probably find some titanium bolts to fit, which will have the added benefit of great spark shows through tight corners) and you need a wrench or socket to remove the rubber portion.

Get the Evo's instead
I have been running these pegs for almost two years, and while the quality is very good, I would not recommend them. They are canted forward, which is great when riding in the seated position and pretending you have a sport bike, but very uncomfortable when standing.
Spend the extra $50 and get the SW-Motech EVO pegs, which have a full range of adjustment so you can get them sitting flat instead of tilted forward. I sure wish I did.

Questions
Est-ce qu’ils peuvent être installés sur une Yamaha MT07 2019?
Non. Les appuie-pieds de SW-Motech ne sont pas compatibles avec la Yamaha MT07 2019.

Are those foot pegs more forward or backward from the gear shifter ? Need more space for my boots. Tank you. Honda CB500X 2020.
In my experience, they mount in about the same position as the original pegs. In fact, they are a tad wider than the originals which, for me, makes them more comfortable. I cannot see how they would make more room for your boots; however, these pegs do have a tilt adjustment which makes for a more optimal angle for my boot to slide under the shifter to shift gears. For me, they are an improvement over the original stock pegs.
