Fantastic and comfy fit, but......
Bought this boot on sale for $380. At that price it's a great deal for what you're getting protection wise. It has all the basics for entry level track protection and for those (like me) who want track level protection on our rides.
The boots are true to size and even though I bought them thinking I would need to wear them for a while and break them in, they were comfortable right out of the box. Which says something because I have wide feet and hammer toes.
The ONLY thing I have an issue with is the zipper and velcro arrangement for closing the boot. It's VERY hard to get the zipper to close fully. The top velcro cuff wants to close and stop you from getting the zipper to the top of it's travel. Since the zipper pulls the cuff in as it goes up. I end up with both boots having an inch of unzipped zipper. I just leave it, the boot still fits well and it doesn't affect riding. In 4 years there will still be an inch of zipper in each boot that will be "like new".

Killer Boots
Love the S-TR1 Boots by TCX. I find Alpinestars are tough to judge size and always seem to fit too large. A few years ago I bought a pair of TCX sneaker like boots for casual short rides and the sizing was spot on so I thought I would try these. Perfect fit right out of the box and super comfortable. I love the look, quality and protection these boots offer. They fit perfectly under a pair of boot cut jeans and easily allow you to tuck pants inside if that is your preference. I think the S-TR1 boots offer a lot of bang for buck, look fantastic and have great features.
