Description
CarbMate, the cost-effective electronic replacement for mercury sticks, with the advantage of solid state electronic measurement that don’t break if you drop it.
CarbMate displays the difference in vacuum intake settings of two separate carburetors (or fuel injection throttle valves) on the same engine very precisely on a single transverse “East-West” 9 fixed resolution LED display. A single green LED at the dead-centre “happy face” mark indicates that the compared manifold vacuums are equal to within the selected resolution.

Simple, accurate, Done!
Fantastic tool, easy to setup and use. Accurately balances throttle bodies for a smooth running machine. Not cheap but it would’ve cost nearly the same to pay a shop to do the job. The included instructions are sufficient, with further tips and insights available on the YoubTube.

Simple and Accurate
I bought this to sync the throttle bodies on my 1999 BMW R1100R. It was one of the easiest tune-up procedures that I have ever done. The LED readout is so much nicer than the old dial vacuum gauges and the sensitivity dial allows you to sneak up on the balance point. Although a bit pricey for how infrequently it will be used (I do not work in a bike shop), I do not regret the purchase.

I bought this about a month ago as I could not balance the carbs on my 1972 BMW R 75/5. I liked the ease of operation with the CarbMate, although it took me awhile to get the carbs "just right", because the carbs were way out of sync. After I got them synced using the CarbMate, the bike sounded great and worked great. I would never have got it that good without this unit. I debated getting this one vs a Digisync unit, but the CarbMate seemed less complicated...just get the bubble into the middle. The only thing I wish Carbmate had was a tachometer read out as it was a but hard trying to look at the bike tachometer, and the CarbMate at the same time, while adjusting the Carbmate. But, I found out that my throttle was not set properly at the handlebar, so it was difficult to set the throttle at a particular RPM. It should be easier now that I fixed the throttle.

A must have
Being able to tune your bikes vacuum control is crucial. This tool make the process fool proof and super easy to hookup. Worth the money if you want to bike running top notch.

Questions
Does the four cylinder adapter come with it?
I never got 1 with mine and I have seen the adaptor for 4 cylinder advertised as an option by itself, so I am almost positive that it does not come standard and would say so, and/or cost more if it did come with it. Mine is locked away under the bike lift so I can't look right now, but will do so next chance I get, but I am 99% sure it does not come with the standard kit.
