Positive Initial Impressions
This is my first armored jacket and I have yet to use this on a ride but it seems well made. Maybe two spots where there are threads sticking out of the seams, nothing too concerning.
Seems like it should keep me warm when taking riding lessons in BC in March/April with the liner, but am interested to see how cool it will be without the liner when it warms up as it has lots of venting (chest, pits, shoulder, and back vents).
I like the included side and arm cinch straps because I'm not huge but need to be able to layer.
I also like the side pockets have a flap and a zipper. I wonder if the vertical pockets/vents will leak when very saturated, but they do have a little flap to cover the zipperhead when closed.
I also wonder about the location of the elbow pads and if they will protect the elbow or if they will shift if you go down. Like I said though this is my first armored jacket so maybe the location is standard and maybe when riding they'll be in a more proper location as opposed to looking at myself in the mirror and inspecting/nitpicking at it.
All in all happy with the purchase and would make again! Now looking at the Thor Range pants....
