Overall not bad, good communication unit
We bought 3 units to replace 8 year old set we had and to add capability for bigger group of riders.
Positives:
1) the technology worked great for those with open face helmets, i.e no wind noise as the manufacturer claims.
2) When using for music in the helmet, great sound quality as they claim.
3) Noise cancel algorithm is great for repetitive noises, i.e one our riders has loud V Twin, when he first starts bike you hear in the headset, within 5 seconds noise is gone.
4) Good range, we got spread out several times and no communication loss.
Negatives:
1) As much as we tried the non touch gestures feature is of no value to anyone in the group, we found just using the buttons was easier and more reliable.
2) They didn’t consider touring bikes have radios and some people prefer to use them vs in the helmet tunes. As such the algorithm doesn’t tune this out and transmits this to the other riders in the group. The work around we used is turning off the microphone. However this defeats spontaneous communication as you have to tap the buttons to turn microphone back on.
3) Quality of manufacturing is 6 out of 10. Buttons bit difficult to hit, clip for mounting transmitter to helmet could be better sometimes unit pops off when trying to get buttons to work. 1 of our 3 units had to be replaced due to intermittent wire in speaker unit.
Overall they technically performed better than our outdated units that we replaced, Great not having boom microphones, but some features clumsy or not not tuneable for all rider preferences.

Really good sounding but durability questionable
I ordered the motion 6 on Feb 12, which is basically right when if became available in Canada. It is the replacement for my old HBC200 which last year got internal water damage while riding through a heavy rain storm on my trip around BC.
The Good:
Sounds amazing, gets really loud and phone call quality is good. When I called my brother he said it sounded like a regular call even though I was going 70km/h on my bike. I like the mounting options and it fits well in my speed and strength SS3000 helmet. The buttons are much easier to press then my old HBC200. The battery life seems good, I don't have to charge it up that often, maybe once every two weeks when going to/from work and riding around town.
I have had two phones paired with the Motion 6 at once, no problems. I'll have my work phone (Galaxy S7) with Google maps giving directions while at the same time playing music off my personal phone (Galaxy S10). And both phones can receive calls with all this happening.
The Bad:
The top button that is used for turning on motion gestures snapped off when I accidentally pressed on the side of it when taking the unit off my helmet. It is just glued on with a small amount of silicone. I'm just glad it didn't come off while riding. Needless to say without the buttom the internal circuit board is exposed, and well, you can't use that button. I now need to look into warranty or try glueing it back on myself.
The gesture controls is a cool idea, but the problem with my helmet/riding position is every time I do a left solder check it senses my solder and turns the volume up. I just leave the gesture control disabled, I think pressing the buttons is faster and easier anyways.
I haven't tried pairing to another bluetooth helmet yet so can't comment on that. I haven't tried using the voice commands yet either.
Verdict: Of you're after good and loud sound quality, long battery life and don't mind paying a premium then consider this unit. Just be aware that you have to be a little gentle with this unit or else the siliconed on buttons can fall off.

Hard to connect to each device.
I bought these a month ago. I’ve tried to connect them to my phone. Sometimes they connect, sometimes they don’t. I can’t connect to second device. It won’t play music and customer service has no phone number and takes forever to reply.

Pricey but great sound
I had this radio for about a week when the usb connector bent and stopped working. I contacted FortNine and they gave me a number to call with Uclear for support along with instructions to call them back for assistance if Uclear would not help. Happily, Uclear stands behind their warranty and sent a new speaker. Happy with my purchase, this is my second Uclear radio and that one worked out well for several years.

Expected more
Have owned a number of uclear amp pro products so i am used to the expected performance. I find the new motion 6 unit”underwhelming”Same speakers as older model so no improvement in audio performance, mic system not upgraded. Syncing up to second amp pro is not much easier than previous model even with uclear app . Hand gesture function is OK but not idiotproof. Maybe infinity model with GPS locator is a better reason to buy but overall disappointed in not seeing audio performance upgraded from this newest model.

Adhesive is cheap
The included black plastic mount have a cheap adhesive tape on i had to replace it whit 3m VHB.At the price of this headsets i expect VHB tape on the mount not cheap two sided tape that comes off at 50km/h

Really like the motion gesture controls
These are my 2nd Uclear units, I've upgraded from my 3yr old Uclear Amp Plus that have worked flawlessly, but I wanted DMC and the gesture controls.
Install is super easy and quick. The mics mounted in the brow is the best idea, no fumbling with repositioning a boom mic every time you put your helmet on/off or getting a drink of water, etc. My wife appreciates this as well as it doesn't smear her lipstick.
Audio quality in my old set was very good, the Motion 6 is so much better yet.
The motion gesture control is brilliant, once you got accustomed to what action did what, it is so much simpler than reaching and feeling for the correct button to press.
We used them for snowmobiling this winter, out for 12 hrs with the units on, the battery was still strong,....but I don't remember what percentage was left after the 12 hrs in -8C temps. Here is where the brow mics really shine; boom mics on a snowmobile helmet get wet with condensation from your breath, then usually stop working until dry again. With the brow mounted mics this is not an issue
Range is about 500 meters with a clear line of sight, well below what is advertised, but I found this was the same as what people reported using other brands.
Pairing with an iPhone was easy and all firmware updates are done via your phone using bluetooth.

DON’T BUY. Quality is horrible
Buy another brand. This is my second uclear. The quality is horrible. Doesn’t work most of the time. The support staff at uclear has no idea what’s wrong. There systems shouldn’t be worth more then $20.
