Unior's 1639/2 hardened steel axle vise securely holds 9 and 10 mm axles in any bench vise and it does so without damaging them. The vise is spring loaded so it'll open on its own when you loosen the bench vise, and guide pins in the block of the axle vise ensure the two halves are kept parallel for a better hold on the axle.
