Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super q baffle These did exactly what I bought them for! Still a great sound and a pass for the provincial test in BC. From 93 dB at idle down to 85.5 dB. Still a nice throaty rumble for a Harley when opened up!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not so Q? My pal got ticketed in Quebec for throwing 102 db @ 2500 rpm. My original HD were at 90 db. I upgraded to V&H slip-ons, that gave 102 db and sounded great. I then tried the quiet baffles, 100 db. Then the Super Q at 99.5 db. Finally, I achieved 97 db and a nice rumble with a combination of the Super Q and a modified quiet baffle. Managing sound level while maintaining performance is definitely not easy task and could be expensive. (Measurement of exhaust pipe sound pressure levels of stationary motorcycles. Prepared by B. Lévesque, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Université Laval).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice sound and lower the decibels I replaced my quiet baffle by the super q baffle to lower the decibels. Great sound and still quite loud when you open the throttle !

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy Wife! Keeps the deep throated sound you want at a lower volume. Neighbours will still hate you when you crack it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the trick Big Shots Staggered went from super loud to decent (at idle). Still loud when you rip it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Considerably Quieter My V&H Big Shots were too loud for me. Installing these baffles was easy and produced immediate results. The deep tone is still there but much less "sharpness". My bike is still loud but not obnoxiously loud.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok The super quite baffle for the V&S short shots decreased the DB level by 6 in my case. I read that the sound note would be lower and better but sounds about the same.

I have the short shots on my 2017 softail slim 103. Got a vehicle inspection for noise, do you know if these will bring the db to 95 or lower. The cop didn't have a reader, but they're definitely illegal up here in Vancouver

Asked by: Dumptruck
Depends on what your fb reading are without quiet baffle.  I haven’t taken a reading with the quiet baffle and can only say that it is somewhat quieter.  I would describe it as taking the edge off the noise in that it is not as piercing.

I have a 2009 Yamaha V Star 950 with a Vance and Hines pipe. What is the quietest baffle that will fit it?

Asked by: DW_Oakville
Depends on the Vance and Hines you have.  Go to the Vance and Hines web site.  They will tell you everything you need to know about the baffles.  The quiet baffles seem to take the edge off the originals.

would these fit the cruzer pipes on a 2007 kawasaki vulcan 900 classic

Asked by: bill
Measure the inside diameter of your pipe and check the diameter of the baffle. In my case V&H said the super quiet baffle did not fit my 2002 Honda Shadow VT750 with straight shots that where rather loud and the bike had no low end torque. After much research I came to the conclusion they would fit and went ahead with them. I could not be happier!!! I have lots of low end torque as there is enough back pressure now. The pipes actually sound better now too. Do not remove the plastic wrap from the glass pack section!!!! It is there to help get them in with out binding. Bolt them in start and run the bike for 10 minutes and your done. The plastic wrap melts off and the glass pack expands to take up the final mm’s of space. Hope that helps.
