Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fits perfect Bought a month ago works perfect for bike Great compression, only think I was dissapointed about was it didn’t include a wrist pin bearing, luckily my old one was in great shape. Just to keep in mind when ordering!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good price, easy process I bought this piston online and it was easy, shipped quickly and came as I expected it to. Fortnine has great price and ships quick. I chose to go with the older style 85 piston because it has dual rings and lasts longer

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oem spec product I planned on doing the top end on my bike as preventative maintenance. I didn't want to pull it apart to find out the piston size, as ktm has A and B sizes. I just didn't want the down time, so I just ordered both options, used the right one and returned the other. The return policy is great, and easy. I really like using OEM parts too. It was very easy to assemble

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great piston definitely worth it Definitely recommend the high compresssed piston gives it a snappier response and a little more power

          Questions

Is this a Forged piston or Cast?

          Asked by: Joel Embleton
This depends on the model. Vertex pistons are both cast and forged. Vertex casts their two stroke pistons because of the ability to incorporate higher silicon content into castings as opposed to a forging. This gives the piston a lower thermal distortion characteristic and higher wear resistance. Vertex uses castings and forgings in its four stroke pistons depending on application. Low rpm, low performance four stroke engines can use cast pistons. High performance, high rpm engines (like today’s race bikes) use forged pistons for strength. Vertex has the ability to manufacture its pistons to suit each need. We would suggest contacting Vertex directly to confirm whether it is forged or cast for your specific application.

It looks like this does not come with the bearing. Do you sell the bearing separate?

          Asked by: MarkBir
I did not need to purchase any additional bearings. I'm guessing this is referring to the piston pin bearing??? Its included, or at least was with mine.

For 2 strokes is it a 2 rings piston? Thank you

          Asked by: Legaser
It will likely depend on the which bike you order the piston for. I would imagine they do their best to replicate the OEM piston design. I’ve ordered a few for KTM 2 strokes and they have been 2 ring pistons
