Horrible! Failed in a very low speed accident!
Don't waste your money with these. unlike some reviews, I found the fitment was spot on. But that doesn't matter at all considering how BADLY these failed.
I was exiting a parking lot that had some sand on the ground. I was going maybe 10km/h, probably not even that. Back end slid out and this thing SNAPPED OFF. Didn't slide at all. There is not enough actual plastic to hold this on, it just pulled straight off the bolt. Would've been an absolute waste in a high speed accident. Save yourself the headache and spend more money to buy something higher quality. I know I will be.

Looks good
Frame sliders for 2009 gsxr1000. Look really nice. No instructions with them so it was a bit of a nightmare to figure out how to put them on, but once I figured that out it was all good! I like them.

Absolute garbage
After purchasing several items I can tell you that buying aftermarket parts from vortex is risky business. Half of the items are supposed to fit multiple models and inevitably there are fitment issues. Don't waste your money!

Poor discription
I purchased this frame slider for my sv650s as vortex has a good name. I found out after the fact that these are not the "proper" sliders for my bike. The sliders you want go through the frame. These one literally attach to small steel tag points. If I ever crashed or dropped the bike with these on they would do 2x the damage to my bike due to where they sit on my bike. PLUS the spot they choose to mount these are no good if you are 5' 10" + because you just bash your knees off them. I did not install. Too late to return.

Great sliders
Got those sliders few weeks ago.put it in 2012 gsxr 600, looking great.only thing there are no installation guide. But easy enough to figure out. Overall i love it..

Frame sliders work!
I recently laid my bike down, hard and fast, but thanks to vortex frame sliders I picked the bike up and kept riding. I lost a mirror and small rash damage on the bike, didnt even hit a bar end. So bought another set f sliders as the ones I had were an old model and didnt match the new style.
Frame sliders save your bike! 100 dollar sliders saved me hundreds if not a few thousand in damages.

Terrible product
I bought the vortex frame sliders and the bolts didn't fit. So I called and they sent new bolts which still don't fit. I've told them what kind of bike I have but they didn't send the right kind. Still need to send it all back. Won't bother re ordering from here again, need frame sliders on my bike and don't have the time to keep getting the wrong product

Great Choice
I bought these to replace a set that were pretty much just for looks. These appear to be more functional. No trouble with installation. I hope I don't have to use them!

Questions
The picture shows two forms; one is a cone and the other a traditional cylinder style. Which one is it?
The cone is aluminum and the cylinder is plastic. The cone fits inside the cylinder.
