This is a spider for use with the SRAM 3-bolt cranksets that have a removable spider

Compatibility:

• This spider is designed to work with the SRAM cranksets with a 3-Bolt direct mount interface
• Four different chainline options are available. The number and letter refer to the mm offset and direction from the mounting face to the centerline of the teeth:
  • M8 (6 mm offset - dished towards the frame):
    • For use with GXP cranks and BB30 Long Spindle standard 49 mm chainline
    • Praxis Works Road/CX cranks use this offset
    • This is for use on bikes with 135 mm QR, 142 mm thru axle, and some 148 mm bikes
  • M5 (Boost 3 mm offset - dished towards the frame):
    • For 52 mm chainline for Boost bikes
    • Praxis Works mountain bike cranks use this offset for DM-A chainrings
  • M2 (0 mm offset):
    • Is for a 55 mm chainline on a DUB spindle crankset
    • Is for a 49 mm chainline on a BB30 short spindle crankset
    • Praxis Works mountain bike cranks use this offset for DM-B chainrings
  • P2 (+4 mm offset - dished outwards away from the frame):
    • For fat bikes that have 190/197 rear spacing but use a 100 mm spindle. This is now very common on production fat bikes to keep the q-factor slimmer
    • Can be used for creating a "boost" chainline with a BB30 short spindle crankset
