Smart design
This design works well. I have had no problems with it's operation. The installation is can be finicky. This product doesn't fit some aftermarket fork guards.

Questions
Is it an electric starter for the bike ?
No, it locks the forks down so the bike doesn't wheelie down the start straight and releases the first time the forks compress.
