Great Value and Safety
Great value helmet. It could have more venting options, but air comes in adequately from the bottoms or by opening the shield. MIPS certified. Looks really neat too!

Comfy, but loud wind noise in this
Wouldn't want to go touring in it or do much cold weather riding, but it's comfy and good for warm weather and short trips

Good quality and excellent looking helmet
Beautiful helmet, amazing price, fast delivery, good packaging to prevent and damage, perfect condition and a snug but very good fit. Can’t wait to wear this in the spring on my Africa Twin !

On a budget? Yeah, maybe. If you can spend more...
I am a new rider who has had this for about half a riding season. What I like is it is EEC 22.05, with MIPS and Dual Density foam. Yes, it is a budget lid with a plastic shell but I feel like it will offer good protection. Being new and not having years of experience wearing helmets I don't feel like it is too heavy. After a 6h ride on\off road through 90km\h highways to 20km/h technical terrain I only felt the strain the last 20min of the ride home; and I’m not a body builder or a construction worker. Desk Jockey right here... The sun shade works but I don’t really use it, the peak is a bit chincy but does it’s job, and the closing vents are nice but on hot days I open the shield a crack for more air at slow speeds. What I don’t like... Sound, it is what it is on a sub $300; it is quieter than a Bell MX9 adv MIPS but that aint say’n much. Even off road I wear ear pugs in this. Removing the shield for cleaning is a pain at times. The shield seems to scratch easy and the anti fog is already chipping away but that might be my fault. No pin lock; that said, you can buy a replacement shield from the Snow version that is double walled to help with fogging. Size, it is “bobble head” looking on me with a Large; it probably only has 2 or 3 shell sizes. Venting, it gets loads of air through the chin vent but it still fogs; maybe this is a helmet thing and I don’t have the experience to know butter. That said, when it is cold I am constantly opening the visor a crack to deal with fogging. If I am wearing a belclava my breath is sent to the top of the helmet fogging the top of the lens and the drop down visor.
Am I satisfied? Well, I’m not threatening to sue or claim highway robbery but the HJC C10 or DS-X1 is probably a better buy. The C10 ,despite not having a beak, I’d probably be happier with it. I don’t find the beak does much beyond catch wind and since I’m not doing motocross I don’t need to deflect roost.
If you can spend more, I’d go with a better helmet. If you are on a budget, the C10 despite not having a beak is EEC 22.06, if you need a beak and the DS-X1 isn’t on sale then yeah this lid will do fine.

Had this helmet for two years now and am shopping for a new one as I can’t stand how loud it is. You have to wear ear plugs with this helmet and not to block out the hound of the bike…. Overall it’s an average helmet but price is right. Never had a problem with fogging and it’s worked great as it should. Comfort is just below average as it lacks good padding.

Incredible value as a helmet.
I had to size up from L to XL because of the fitment chart. Incredible value as a helmet.

Great because it’s all adjustable with your fingers no tools needed to adjust the visor or to swap lenses. You can also completely remove the lenses and use goggles comes with little things to clip into the lense mounts. Also Comes with extra parts too

HJC IS WAY BETTER FOR THE MONEY
Loud because its made with cheap thin plastic on the visor. it makes creaky noises
constantly over 80km/h. I've added small Velcro spacers behind the visor but has only helped a bit. The drop down sunshade was loose from day one. Poor quality all around.

Questions
What is the headshape? Oval? Intermediate oval? Round oval?
As per the manufacturer, the Z1R Range helmet is considered a intermediate oval.

The regular helmet without MIPS medium fits tight but a large is too loose. Will a size large with MIPS be tighter and fit properly?
Doesn't really change the size its thin webbing to help the helmet have more give to help avoid head injuries form the whiplash of impact
