Very Happy with my helmet
I bought this helmet recently and very happy with the features of it for the price. It is a split face full helmet and is pretty easy to open.
I did use the helmet in rain and found I had to leave the visor open so that it did not fog up.

Comfortable Helmet
I bought this helmet hoping it would fit. When I got it I wore it around the house for an hour and didn't notice I was wearing it after a while. It fit great and is a very comfortable helmet.

Tons of air flow, very loud ride
extremely loud helmet especially when travelling more than 100km/h. My $80 helmet is better than this one. Quality is very similar to the cheaper helmets i own. Modular piece works well though.

Sena 20s users beware
Can't really say much to fit noise or anything. Have to return 2 helmets because our sena 20s Bluetooth won't fit the helmet. Tried multiple ways to mount and the design of this helmet will not allow it.

Limited Review
I bought this helmet in the middle of winter in Saskatchewan so I haven't really had a chance to use it in a real riding scenario. I will give you my initial opinion on the helmet. Quality and features of the helmet at this price point are very good. Finish, build and overall features are very good. I have worn the helmet around the house in order to try and break it in a bit before riding season and did not experience any " hot spots'" or uncomfortable areas, again limited wear time. Helmet is smooth without any sticking as far as the jaw piece or built in sun visor is concerned. Operation of these are good even with gloves on ( yes I tested this, running around my house in the middle of winter with a helmet and motorcyle gloves on! My wife thinks I'm an idiot! Hahaha) With limited wear I think this helmet is a good value, be on the road soon so the real riding test is coming.

UNBELIEVABLE FOR THE PRICE
Love it. I bought the gloss dark silver and it looks absolutely amazing. Fits true to chart and is very comfortable. Love the flip down and the price is unbeatable. Tried on many quality brand helmets locally that cost much more and none felt this good. Awesome product worth twice the price.

Great purchase
Great helmet for the price. Fits comfortably and allows adequate ventilation with minimal noise. Sun visor is of good quality and the mechanism for applying and releasing is sturdy.

Too dang loud.
I picked the Solaris as a Christmas gift so it was another 5months before I actually got to try it. Love the style and comfort BUT the droning sound coming from wind entering the chin mesh and thin neck pads is too much. Even with earplugs, it is impossible to ride above 120kph. I've tried foam pads around the ears and bunching my neckie around the padding but it isn't enough. The curvature over the shoulders is a nice look but it's doing nothing to help with noise. I am afraid that I may have bought a size too big as it fit snug when I recieved it but after just a couple of months of riding with it, I really need to reef on the chin strap for a secure fit. The flip mechanisms are metal which is great and the visor seems to seal properly but the thin neck roll and faint mesh under the chin just doesn't cut it. Unfortunately I had to shelf the Solaris just after a couple of months of riding and return to my old (should be retired) helmet. I guess it's back to the drawing board after I gather up some bucks for a new bucket.

Questions
is the helmet lightweight or heavy?
It isn't very lightweight. This helmet weighs approximately 5 lbs.

Is this helmet compatible with a bluetooth headset? i.e. ear cups?
There is no built-in module compartment. I don't think you can put in a ear cup that's too large either. I do not use any such device but I think there is considerable room in the ear area to install a smaller size headphone unit. Hope that helps.

This particular one doesn't come with a heated visor (clear only), but there you can purchase a heated visor for it or a double layer visor for it. There is also an optional magnetic breath box for it. Or purchase the snowmobile version of this helmet that comes with the heated visor and breath box. Just search Z1R Solaris to see all the options.
