Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do not use the recommended torque Installed this kit on a 2013 GL1800 Honda Goldwing trying to get rid of low speed wobble. Those who know the bike know how long it takes to get to certain assemblies. Disassembled triple tree to rebuild forks and replace factory bearings. When reassembling, the All Balls kit instructs you to use between 25-30 ft-lbs torque when tightening nut. I used that recommended torque and completed assembly thinking it was quite tight to turn. Testing turning torque and found it to be around 7.5-8 ft-lbs. Bars movement feels sticky and quite stiff. On test ride the bike was almost unmanageable and could not remain in straight line. Disassembled to get to triple tree nut again. When nuts torqued to 8-9 ft-lbs and reassembled the turning torque was around 3.5-4 ft-lbs. This was considerably more stable and responsive to steering input. Low speed wobble from 45-60 Kph gone! TLDR: On GL1800, use the 30 ft-lbs to seat the bearings, loosen nut and then torque to 8-9 ft-lbs.
