Super comfort
I ride sport touring and this jacket is perfect for that. Very comfortable and nice soft but tough material. Slim and non-bulky...although I did go up a size. Not too loud graphics and AA rating is a bonus.

Questions
There's no mention of padding. I'm assuming this jacket has level 1 pads in shoulders and elbows? Are they the "modern" thin ones?
Yes, you are correct, it comes with shoulder and elbow Level 1 Nucleon Flex Armor. For chest and back Nucleon Level 2 inserts are sold separately. There is a comparison chart at the bottom of the description that compares the specifications of different Alpinestar jackets, including padding.
