Drystar is not goretex
Gloves won’t breathe and make hand sweat in warm weather. Rain soaked through in about 40 minutes.

7 hours rain - damp hands - ok with heated grips
I recently rode in the rain for 7 hours with this glove. I would say my hands ended up still a bit damp. If you demand super dry hands, this won't do it. But I wasn't too disappointed. With heated grips my hands never got cold during the trip, so I was pretty pleased. Not 4 or 5 star rain protection though.

Fix the finger length issue and it would be a win
Nice looking glove, a bit warm on hot days. Fingers are a bit long unlike other Alpinstar gloves I own.

These are nice!
These fit my hand so much better than my last gloves and also the sizing guide was pretty accurate. The only thing I can say is the fingers are slightly long but overall very nice gloves.

Day one, not great
Just bought these and firstly the shipping is incredibly fast! Wore them today and not pumped on them yet. Had to work had to grip the bars first ride and hand was tired afterwards. Hoping these will soften up with a couple of uses. Also, the fingers are long as many other people noted. They look solid and well built. I want to like them and hopefully they will brake in nicely. I'll report back

Great glove, good for colder climate
Bought this glove for daily use, even in summer. The glove gets hot but i went for this one because i felt it was the best quality/protection i can get. Compared to thinner summer gloves like the Alpinestar copper glove, the SMX-Z is far superior in protection i just wouldnt feel safe in a thinner glove.
Build quality is great, fit is spot on for me. I have big hands and the 3xl fit better than any other 3xl i tried. The gloves are thick, have some excess material on the finger tips but it doesn't disturb too much. The finger tip for the phone works but not very well.
For the weatherproof feature of this glove, I don't know I don't ride in the rain.

Excellent gloves for mild to cold weather
Bought these and they are well constructed. Premium material. Plenty of digit protection. They do fit slightly big but a little bit of extra room is good for liners. Would recommend to anyone.
