Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMS Slingshot Mud/All Terrain XT Rear Tire I purchased two rears in size 27x11x12 to replace two ITP Blackwater XT 27x9x12s on the front of my 1999 Suzuki LTF500. I am retaining the 27x12x12 ITPs on the back as they are still in pretty decent condition. I’m putting rears up front because I want to run big tires on all 4 corners. I am also retaining my stock aluminum rims which are 7” wide on the front and 8.5” wide on the rear. I am replacing the IPT XTs up front because for turning in any and practically all situations they suck. I do not like that the machine has a severe push to the extent that I have re-cambered the front end and added toe out. This fix has worked well but I want more. The high void tread design of the ITP tire just isn't putting enough tread on the ground to give good turning ability. Fitment of the new wider tire is good, just had to bend a couple corners of the skid plate in up front and cut a couple little bars out of the back of the fenders. My first test was simple, Hard turns on a variety of surfaces at varying speeds to see how much if any the machine still pushes. Second over-all steering control and maneuverability Third Tractoring ability on a variety of surfaces. I am happy to report all factors are vastly improved, lots more forward and side bite, definitely one of the best improvements i've made to the machine. I really like the concept of running different tread patterns front and rear in order to get the optimum performance in all conditions. A special thanks to Canadasmotorcycle.ca

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not that great Fast tire on gravel and through packed dirt in the woods, bulky, not great grip in loose dirt. 2 blow outs within 5 trail rides

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome tires Great tires I am some heavy mudding and since I put these on the bike I hardly ever touch touch winch except to tow my buddy out with his 26" zillas. I have 26" slingshots installed

Rated 1 out of 5 by from They wear out fast and sidewall punctures. I've had these on my buggy for 1 year and they are worn out with little use. Every time I went out, you could see how much wear was happening. They are weak and the sidewalls puncture easily. I will not buy them again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2 sidewall rips in 1000 km. I bought these tires because of the overall good reviews on the internet. However, these tires do not live up to the hype. I've had 2 sidewall tears in 1000km, bought a new tire as a vulcanized patch didn't hold, then, less than 200 kms later I ripped the same tire in the same place. When I say tear, I mean tear. These tires rip like a ziploc bag. Treadwear is pretty quick as the rubber is very soft. Great traction, but man, I really regret this purchase. Running 26x11-14 rear, 26x9-14 front. Paid $650 CAD for a set of 4.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tread pattern and low weight I got these as an upgrade from stock and they fit and look great. Went one size up but could have gone to 27s no problem as they sit a little lower than stock.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I put them on my 500 sportsman. Love em. Will chew through anything but smooth on the hard pack. We have a good mix of soupy mud with big rock here in B.C. The tires don't have a nick in them after 3 months.

I have26x9-126Pr and26x11-12 6Pr sling shots on my side by side. They have3000 km on them and they are shot. Can u tell me what psi is to be put in them? The dealer suggests 12 on the rear and 10 on the front. Wheeling folks indicate no more then 8 psi

You didn't say your primary use, It would seem to me that your running these tires hard, maybe racing your buddys. Being a off road tire the rubber is going to be softer compound to increase traction, you can't expect awesome traction and lifetime wear in the same package. You might want to start looking at harder compound rubber for your driving style. I think in the tire world the higher the tread-wear number the harder the compound, the more silicate and metal additives.
