Description
Handguard kit bolts up to the end of your bars and onto a second mount that clamps directly on your bars, inward, in front of your controls. This two-point approach forms a cage around your hands and also protects your handlebar controls to prevent or minimize damage in a crash scenario. Bike-specific hardware is designed to clear throttle cables, hydraulic lines and other interferences found within individual bike models.

Anti-vibration install tip. Honda 500X
Couple of things. Removing stock bar ends. Not as easy as video's of someone tapping out with a small hammer [as opposed to taking off glued on heated grips and manipulating the spring clips]. Had to bash at them for a long time. Spring clips didn't snap off, just squeezed out very very slowly.., success, then installing guards, no problems. But small vibrations at about 5,500 RPM was significant and much worse than before install.... took the guards off, slipped the stock anti-vibration steel bar back in. Reckon it acts like a tuned mass damper in a building. Keep the rubber bits on, take the spring clip off, slide back into the bars. One went in relatively easily, the other had to be pushed with as much force. Get them far enough in to clear the bark buster assembly, re-installed the guards. Vibrations much reduced. Will likely put some weights on the ends as well [will require new bolts].... so, if you find vibration after install, keep the inner cylindrical steel weight and the rubber washers [make sure you fish out the inner rubber one after removing bar ends if it doesn't come out [thick guage copper wire works], and shove it back in before installing the guards.... my bike happily plays in the moto gymkhana arena and gets dropped pretty regularly, have folding levers but one still managed to bend the wrong way a few weeks ago. Pretty sure these guards will do the trick.... happy riding out there, stay frosty.

Good fit and finish!
Very easy to install and didn't have to move mirrors or anything that was mounted on the handle bars(F800GS). The black finish makes them invisible and they look like stock parts. The mounting brackets are substantial and should survive a few falls.

Worth the money
Unfortunately I tested the barkbusters after getting cut off in traffic. Slow speed drop onto a cement curb. A little scuffed but held up great.
