Rated 1 out of 5 by from 6 Month - Detailed Review! Ok - This is a bit of a longer review - but I will try and go into as much detail as I can as possible. And this is after 6 months of usage so hopefully this helps someone out there that is reading; THE BAD 1) C'mon guys - This is by far, bar none, one of the most uncomfortable helmets to be on the market - There is absolutely no space for any comm setup in this helmet and where this is a spot for the speakers, the ear molds are far below where they should be, your ears will fold every single time trying to put this helmet on - Not to mention the padding lining is so thin that the rivets that hold the liner into to the helmet will dig into your forehead because they are terribly positioned 2) Its Loud AF. Like deafening loud. I have a LS2 helmet that I bought for less than 100 bucks that is a submarine compared to this helmet. The worst part? Engineers at Bell ALREADY know a thing or two about noise reduction and in this helmet noise reduction is fairly easy to do but they did not do it due to poor designing Engineers at Bell - if you are reading this - think about this for a second, you have a helmet that the front face plate comes off right? So why the heck did you design the face plate with 2 non-closable vents? What was the actual point? you have the main vent already? plus, you can take off the front plate so why - just absolute poor thought process 3) Good luck on highway speeds So noise we already discussed, comfort level too. Now add that to the fact that since there are no padding at the front of the face plate + the air flow due to the absurd 2 non closeable vents. The helmet at highway speeds wants to push off your skull and pull back, back and up. Almost as if trying to escape your head. And no, it's a not a fitment issue, you can only go so tight. I tried both sizes, one super tight and one my size and both did this. Wake up Bell designers - you failed to deliver here and you had everything available to make this happen. C'mon. THE GOOD 1) I can only come up with 2 points that are good about this helmet; - It looks amazing, it's probably one of the best looking helmets on the market, obviously going for that jet fighter look. But yeah, I guess you will be pushing 7 Gs when the helmet is so uncomfortable and noise feels like you're in a jet - The faceplate, is the only one on the market that is DOT approved - only one that will actually do something in the worst case scenario BOTTOM LINE: I still use this helmet because its' cool looking. Would I buy it again, No. Absolutely not, for that price. Would I recommend it to anyone. No. Save your money. Or don't. Its your money, but you'll buy this helmet and think back to this review.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from it's a Big Helmet... FortNine did a great job with the order and delivery (and the return)...it's maybe on the 1/2 big side. A convertible helmet is a cool idea, and this helmet did that functionally very well. But when you remove the chin bar it truly is "The Great Gazoo's" helmet and unwearable. Looks aren't everything, but they are a factor...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good looking but has a few issues. I bought this a month or so ago, the Helmet is really nice, looks good and fits well. The issues are mostly on the design. first if you want to add a bluetooth system, there is no earphone pre made holes. the Shield removing is not as smooth and it might be difficult and break fast. the vents have no output, there are basically three intakes but the air will have to go thru your neck and out and there are two vents in the jaw cover that you can not close. and finally it is noisy very noisy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great helmet! I've been using this helmet for over a month and I’m very pleased with its performance. The visor keeps the sun out of your eyes, it looks great, and feels very safe and secure when you attach the front piece. My only complaint is: you cannot take it off without removing the front piece. It's just too tight. You could, but it actually may remove your ears in the process. This applies for putting the helmet on too! It's also quite noisy, but I expected that with the removable face helmet! Overall Great purchase I would recommend to others!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great look, but loud. So I've been riding with this helmet for a few months now. And overall I'm happy. But I'd like to point out a couple things that no reviews mentioned. I'll start out by assuming you're interested in this helmet for one of two reasons. Either you like the 3/4 helmet option or you like the styling. For me personally I loved the look of it full faced, I only ride with it as a full face helmet. Knowing that, it's biggest flaw has to be it's lack of noise reduction. I'm coming from an $80 Zox Galaxy, pretty much the cheapest full face helmet money can buy, and the Broozer makes the Zox sound like a sensory deprivation tank. The big reason for this I think is the Broozers lack of any sort of chin curtain. I even took the old curtain out of my Zox and used velcro to put it into the Broozer. This helped a lot, but it's still louder than the Zox. Especially at high speeds, or in high winds. I'd also like to point out, I generally ride with ear plugs, and even then at 110km/h or higher, the noise was just insane. The second issue I have is the front vent. Again I only have my old helmet for reference, but the vent in the Zox just blew air across the visor to keep it from fogging up, whether it was open or not, you'd never feel it on your face. The Broozer's vent on the other hand blows air directly onto your mouth/nose area. This can be a little annoying, but more so I'm worried about the day a bug finds its way in there and right into my mouth... Even if I knew about these issues before hand, I still think I would have bought it though. The styling of this helmet IMO is better than the others that are similar, and the Broozer is the only one (I think) that is ECE certified. I think to sum up, I'd simply suggest if you're a highway rider, the high speeds and wind might be a little too much to deal with, even with earplugs. But used as a commuter, nothing beats the Broozers bad assery.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks nice, but too noisy I picked one up pre-owned, never used from a rich boy who didn’t have a bike yet. I figured it would make a nice daily for my ride to work. It looks like it has really good ventilation, which is important for me because I fog up my car. Stopping for more than 10 seconds will fog up most helmets I’ve tried. While the helmet does live up to this expectation of good ventilation, it is LOUD. The removable face guard portion has zero padding and thus lots of buffeting. Comparable almost to a half-helmet. It is fairly light though. Maybe moreso even than my current daily. But it feels top heavy. I feel like the little green alien in the Flintstones. Like I have a giant bulb on top of my head. And the foam. I know Bell is a reputed helmet company, but the foam inside looks, feels and most importantly, *sounds*, just like the high-density Styrofoam looking stuff in bicycle helmets. You flinch in the helmet, you hear it squeak. You blinked, squeak. Inhale, squeak. Exhale, squeak. Shoulder check, squeak squeakedy squeak. You see where I’m going with this. Other con, only has one visor at a time. Most of my helmets have a secondary sun lens inside. This model is a swap in swap out. It’s probably super safe, and it looks great, and it breathes great, and its lightweight, and it’s convertible, but it’s just way too loud. I have difficulty hearing the engine over the buffeting. That’s the nail in the coffin for me

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great helmet, with room for improvement I’ve ridden with this helmet in many different conditions and all speeds; definitely better as a lower speed i. The city kinda helmet, it is a bit on the loud side of things, but not by much, not much quieter than a 1000 Arai or Klim helmet I also have. Actually, I purchased a second one of these helmets because the positive outweighs the negative on this product. First of: -it’s really light, really. - there is Zero wind drag turning all directions even at speeds over 100 km/h. -it is very comfortable . - the shield is easy to operate, rarely fogs and with no distortion. - helmet looks awesome and slightly smaller than most helmets out there or at least I’ve had. - great visibility, I can swing my head and have about 350 degrees of visibility. The downside is: Bell could improve the noise reduction. I would never, ever use it without the chin bar, unless it was halloween and I was dressing up as the Great Gazoo. It looks bad!! The price is pretty good. Id love to see it in a one piece, but the problem would be swapping the shield…

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks good, terrible on the highway Awesome helmet for the money if you stay under 80 kph. For running around town I love it, especially with glasses. The removable chin is awesome for someone that has glasses, makes getting the helmet on easier. The noise level and wanting to pull off your head above 80 is not just a little annoyance, it makes you want to pull over and smash the helmet off the payment. It's is downright awful for highway use.

                  Questions

Hey there, May I ask what the head shape is on this helmet? Also would you have a sizing chart by chance? Thanks.

                  Asked by: Drew
This helmet is categorized as intermediate oval so it should fit most head shapes. Sizing charts are found right under the size selection bar on the item page. In Bell's case the sizings vary from model to model. The Broozer isn't specified on the sizing chart but it is often compared to the Rogue, so you can go off that sizing. Customers tend to find that it fits a little small, so we would suggest going up a size compared to what the size chart suggests.
