Great Fit
I bought this helmet earlier this year and just had a good chance to wear it. I've just returned from a 3600km ride from N.F.L.D. around N.S. and back. By far the best helmet I have ever owned. Comfortable and with the flip down shade, I didn't wear glasses the whole trip. There always seemed to be a nice bit of air moving around under the shield to keep things cool....Highly recommend !!!

My favorite helmet
I bought one of these in flat black last year. My head was between the medium and the large so I bought the medium. It was a touch tight at first so to speed up the break in I used the back of a spoon to help shape the foam a bit around my forehead. It now fits like a glove and I cannot think of a single bad thing about it. I have 4 helmets and this is the one on my head at least 90% of the time.

Comfortable
I have put a season on with it, it is the most comfortable helmet I have ever worn.
I ordered the clear shield for it, which would not lock in, so I've kept the stock tinted shield.

Nice helmet
Overall, my wife and I both like this openair style helmet for city riding, however, if you are planning to use the adjustment wheel - think again! Mine came apart within the first week so I removed it altogether; my wife’s also came apart and I was able to put it back together but I would expect more from a helmet in this price point as there are several other openair helmets for less. @Bell - if you are going to add an adjustment function - do it properly!!

Why do you need this from
Using new pit boss for a month now. Great fit & styling, least bulky of all the DOT half helmets. I think Bell could make it better though with some ventilation and better optical quality flip down tinted lens.

For those who wear prescription glasses, will the shield fit over your standard every day glasses?
Sorry to be back so late. The shield will not permit you to wear prescription glasses. It fits close to the face which gives a rider excellent protection from the elements.

I am right at the top of medium on the bell sizing chart at 58cm, should I order the medium or the large pit boss, do these helmets tend to fit large or small? I want to order the right size the first time.
Most Customers have stated that the Pit Boss does not run large or small, but is right on. Some comments do indicate that it fits a little small, though.
We would suggest that you go for the Large, since 58cm, as per the size chart, is either the top end of Medium or bottom end of Large.

LG and XL/2XL helmets
