                  Description

Slip on the Scout Air and forget it's there. Lightweight, low profile, cool and comfortable, the Scout Air is available in five shell and liner sizes to suit most riders' needs. Now available in a variety of colors, this flyweight, aerodynamic helmet makes no compromises and is ready to take on any range of commute, cruise or joy-ride.

                  Flyweight Looks, Heavyweight Protection

The Scout Air utilizes an advanced and innovative "In-mold" construction that combines the Tri-Matrix composite shell with the internal EPS liner. The final result is an extremely compact, lightweight helmet that surpasses DOT certification requirements. The ultimate in lightweight protection — in spite of the robust performance — it weighs a feathery 785 grams (size M); so light it almost disappears on your head. Snap in either of the two included visors and tailor the look to suit your style, or pick up one of the clear or smoked "full-face" accessory shields and escape from the elements.

                  Technology:

                  Tri-Matrix Composite Shell

A proprietary mix of Aramid, Carbon Fiber, and Fiberglass delivers all the strength of Carbon Fiber in a more budget-protecting package.

                  Specifications:

                  • Shield Type: Accessory shield available separately
                  • Extras: Includes 2 Snap Peaks
                  • Fit System: 5 shell and EPS liner sizes ensure a low-profile look
                  • Product Weight: 785 g +/- 50 g (Size M)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Helmet but...... I wanted an open face helmet that wasn't a 3/4 size but had better coverage than a half shell. This fit the bill. The helmet fits exactly as described - I'm a medium but ordered a Large and it fit perfectly. It's super light for the size and very comfortable. Now for the but..... I wanted to be able to use my Cardo Packtalk Bold (also from Fortnine) with the speakers, and NOT Have to use those horrible cheek-pad speaker pockets. (I have a shorty helmet that I use with the Packtalk and earbuds). Unfortunately, as nicely as the helmet fit, there is virtually no possible way to comfortably fit speakers in the helmet... The folks at Bell will tell you that speakers will fit, but they DO NOT. I loved the helmet, but it just won't work for my needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light weight, comfortable, true fit (L). I bought this for "local riding" and I am very pleased with it. I purchased the clear face shield also. Easy to install. I always wear a full faced helmet. This is a nice change. Feels like your not wearing anything. I would recommend this helmet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'd like to rave about this It's simply a great helmet, especially for scooter or moped riding. The compactness makes it light (no neck strain when you shoulder check!). I chose the metallic grey finish just to get that nice contrast between the shell and the add-on tinted face shield (sold separately). If I HAD to come up with a complaint, it's minor. I'd rather have a quick-release buckle than the strap-and-loops, which is causing some wear and tear on the strap. Besides that, it's ideal for my daily hops around the city.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable and no mushroom! Thos is a great lightweight helmet. I'm a size M normally and had to get a large which fits perfect. A small helmet that gives no mushroom look. It does sit high on the brow though leaving a little more of my forehead exposed than I'm used to, might be my head shape not sure? Not a big deal at all though thus still a 5 star for me.

                  Questions

I've heard that sizing for this helmet is different. Some say it fits a size small. I have a Bell 500 size L and it's a little too big. Should I stick with the large for this model?

                  Asked by: dt1524
I ordered a medium for myself and a small for my wife based on the sizing chart. I ended up giving the medium to my wife and sending back the small to exchange for a large for myself. I suggest doing the head measurement and going a size up from whatever result you get from the suzing chart.
